Just Add Ink #516...Inspiration!

Good Morning all!

It is Just Add Ink challenge time once again and this week the lovely Jackie has given us this alternate Christmas coloured inspiration to create with.

Having just received my Stampin Up! pre-order for the new Holiday Catalogue, available to everyone on Tuesday the 4th, l thought this weeks challenge was perfect for inking up my lovely and super cute "Gnome for the Holidays" stamp set...Absolutely in love with these fun images and ended up creating two with slight layering variations. l think they look great in the inspiration challenge colours!

The mushroom top on the tree, is not included in the set, but was an idea from Tina Wardell to use oval dies to add the mushroom top...So cute and creative!

I used my stampin blends to colour in Real Red-Flirty Flamingo-Bermuda Bay-Ivory-Bronze, added lots of the fine tip glue to the noses-baubles etc

The rest of the design team have shared some fabulous creations, so make sure you pop over to the challenge blog for a peek!

Just Add Ink #515...Mixed Media!

Happy Friday Friends!

Its time for a new Just Add Ink challenge! This week Jan has challenged us to add "Mixed Media" to our projects....What exactly is that you are thinking?
After doing some research, it apparently means in simple terms...Using multiple art mediums on one project!

So, for mine, l've gone with "Paints-Stencils-Embossing Paste-Inks" resulting in a soft and pretty take on mixed media.
I pulled out some oldies as well for this one, as l felt the images more suitable for the look l was after.

This is what l used...
Christmas Gleaming-Backyard Basics-Drybrush BG-Happy Birthday To You (SAB)-Label Me Bold and the Pattern Party Masks with the Simmery White Embossing Paste and black acrylic paint.

The colours used are Purple Posy-Just Jade-Old Olive.

The rest of the design team have created some lovely examples of Mixed Media, so make sure you pop over to the challenge blog for a peek at those.

Colour INKspiration #82

Evening all!

Its Colour INKspriration challenge time and for this one the lovely Cathy Pinchbeck has given us this gorgeous colour combo to create with and all l can say is just "WOW" ...These colours are absolutely beautiful together and pack a real punch!

This challenge will run for 3 weeks, so plenty of time for you to play along and share your projects with us...If you would like to join in, you can click on the link above to be redirected to our facebook page, where you can request to join and share.

For my project, l've combined the colours with another new pretty from Stampin Up! called the "All Things Fabulous" bundle...This set has loads of layering images and is really beautiful. I used one of the diecuts to add the lacy detail below my florals and some Gold glimmer to incorporate the hints of metallics in the inspiration image.

Stamp Review Crew...Jar of Flowers!

 SRC

Good Morning everyone!

We are hopping over at Stamp Review Crew and sharing lots of inspiration using the lovely "Jar of Flowers" bundle!

This one was the first on my wish list from the new Stampin Up! catalogue and it is still a fave with me. I find it so versatile and lovely to play with.

If you are happily hopping, you would have arrived here from my lovely friend Lou Kitzelman and her always inspiring blog and projects!
But if not, you can click on the next banner below to complete the hop or click on the SRC link or banner above to be redirected to our main page, where you can see the full list of participating crew.

I decided to try something a little different and not use the jar component of this bundle, but create a pretty bouquet for a wedding card instead.
I coloured the images using Stamping blends and used the straw image to create the floral wrap...Pretty happy with this one, its soft and dainty in real life.

Now you are of to be inspired by the uber talented Charlet Mallett

Just Add Ink #514...Colour!

Good Morning!

Its time for another Just Add Ink challenge! This week Kelly has challenged us to create a project using the above colours.

As l am still playing with some new products, the "So Much Happy" bundle was my first choice for these colours, as l think for a masculine card they work really well together.
I used my Stampin Blends to create an ombre effect on the "Happy" and coloured some balloons to match...a very quick to create project!

Just Add Ink #513...Choose Two!

Good Morning friends!

Our challenge this week over at Just Add Ink  was suggested by Di and she would like us to add 2 of the above elements to our projects!
Choose two challenges are always fun, as there are so many combinations for us to work with.

For my project this week, l have chosen to add Flowers & Texture! Using another new set "So Much Love" and combining it with some pretty DSP from the "Flowers For Every Season" pack and colouring my bloom with Mango Melody blends and adding texture with one of the Greenery embossing folders.

The rest of the design team have created some fabulous projects, so make sure you click on the link above and pop over to our challenge site for loads of inspiration.

Good Morning!

We have a fun new sketch challenge from Tina happening over at Just Add Ink  and the design team have created a fabulous gallery of inspiration to give you loads of ideas, so make sure you click on the link for a look at those.

For my project this week, l have created a fun animal birthday card for my youngest little man who is turning 6 tomorrow.
I couldn't resist inking up the super cute image from the brand new "From all of us" stamp set using the sketch as my starting point. The image has been coloured with Stampin Blends in Cinnamon Cider-Granny Apple Green-Old Olive-Crumbcake-Smoky Slate-Bermuda Bay-Mango Melody-Soft Suede & Ivory/Bronze.
