Just Add Ink #539...Choose Two!

Happy Friday Friends!

Di has chosen some fun challenge elements for this weeks "Choose Two" challenge over at Just Add Ink.

My choice of these was to add a banner & bow to my Simply Succulent project!

I had lots of fun colouring the images with my Stampin Blends. Succulents were coloured in Mint Macaron-Soft Sea Foam-Blushing Bride-Lt Old Olive and the pot is Pretty Peacock.
I added some highlights using a white gel pen and some water droplets with the fine tip glue and finished it off with a twine bow and a banner greeting from All Things Fabulous!

This is heading off to a succulent loving friend for her birthday, l'll be popping a voucher for her fave nursery and some choccies into the gift bag, so she can choose some more!

Lots of lovely projects from the design team, so don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog for a peek

Just Add Ink #538...Sketch!

Good Morning everyone!

We have a brand new challenge happening over at Just Add Ink and this week Patrice has challenged us to use this sketch on our projects!

I decided to create a birthday card for my grandson celebrating his 12th birthday in a few weeks using the Darling Donkeys Saleabration set. As much as its a little young looking, he absolutely loves animals and whenever they go walking, there is lots of horses, donkeys, alpacas near where they live and they love stopping to feed them.

I have gone with a simple colour palette of Soft Sea Foam with Basic Black & Basic White accents...very simple but l think it works!

The rest of the design team have created some fabulous projects using the sketch, so make sure you click the link for a look at those!

Stamp Review Crew...Art Gallery!

Art Gallery Suite

Good Morning everyone!

Stamp Review Crew are on the hop again and for this one we are showcasing the gorgeous "Art Gallery" suite. These products are to die for and are so simple and easy to create beautiful projects with in no time!

I have inked up two of the smaller floral images one in Mossy Meadow & the other in Petal Pink. On the petal pink one, l added some depth using Poppy Parade applied with a sponge dauber to imitate the colours on this piece of DSP, then die cut/fussy cut the blooms to pop on top of the Mossy Meadow image. The greeting is embossed on Calypso Coral and the gems are (Retired) but they worked beautifully colour wise.

If you are happily hopping, you would have arrived here from the fabulous and talented creator Jay Soriano and l'm sure he had something fabulous to share!
But if you've just landed here, you can follow the hop and see all of the wonderful crew projects by clicking the link or "Next" banner below.

Just Add Ink #537...Blog Hop!

Happy Friday Friends!

It is Just Add Ink BLOG HOP challenge time and the first for 2021! As we always do at Just Add Ink, we are starting off the year with a blog hop and given the year just gone and current circumstances, we decided on the theme of "Family"...This can be absolutely any project theme, as long as its for a family member or about your family.

I know from talking to many friends and family during this time, that the lack of physical contact and the stress relating to not being able to actually see those we love and worry about was a huge thing.
For me not seeing my grandkids regularly was huge, but also worrying about my dad and step-mum was really hard.
Both turned 80yr during lockdown and with both having health issues and being immune compromised and ending up in hospital it really sucked, especially as the hospital due to covid did not allow visitors.
Unfortunately my step mum is due for more surgery and although visiting is now allowed, it is the "ONE" rule...One visitor, for one hour, once a day, which l totally get, but makes it so hard.

So, my project is to send to her, to let her know l care, even if l cant be there...At least l can hopefully keep my dad company when he's not visiting her and l know she will love it, as she had been dabbling in cardmaking classes at her local community center pre-covid and gave me a beautiful handmade card for my recent birthday.

I decided on the Pretty Perennials Bundle, the Painted Textures 3D embossing folder and added a diecut greeting from the Well Written dies.
The colours l chose are Flirty Flamingo (2nd Generation)-Blushing Bride-Mossy Meadow-Old Olive-Mango Melody and then Coastal Cabana on the embossed panel done with the Blending Brushes.

RIP Ralph!
Family isn't always two legged and this beautiful boy got his last cuddles after 14yrs last night. He was our time share puppy (my sons dog) but being a people pooch, he spent a lot of that time with us while my son was at work and l will miss my furry shadow and his cuddles and click clack dance on the floorboards in the mornings...love you furball!

The JAI team have created lots of fabulous projects and you can click on the link above to find the full list of design team links on the blog. But now you can click on the link or "Next" banner below to keep hopping and head over to my sweet and talented friend Kim Badelt.

Pic Credit: Cheryll

Happy New Year and evening all! Welcome back to the first Colour INKspiration challenge for 2021.

For this one, Cheryll has not only given us the challenge colours, but also provided this stunning photo she has taken.

This challenge will run for 4 weeks, so you have oodles of time to join in the fun and share your projects.
INKspired to join in the challenge? Firstly check out the fabulous inspiration from the design team over in our facebook album and then create and load your project using the challenge colours.
You can also include Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb cake, Sahara Sand and Metallics.
If you are not already a member of our Facebook group, you can click on the link above to be redirected where you can request to join, get creating and add your project.

I decided to get inky for this one and using the gorgeous new "Wild Roses" background stamp, l inked up sections using the challenge colours, gave them a dab with some sponge to blend in the lines and a really good huff to moisten up the inks and stamped!
Love how it turned out and couldn't resist adding the diecut greeting from the Art Gallery bundle and a vellum layer to soften it all up.

Stamp Review Crew...Sale-a-Bration!

Corner Bouquet                           Paper Blooms

Good Morning and a very happy 2021 to you all!

Todays blog hop over at Stamp Review Crew is all about the fabulous new Stampin Up! Sale a bration products.
I have combined a couple of these along with some new Occasions catalogue items to create my projects.

I revisited an old technique of using Stampin Up! markers, direct to rubber vs inking up in one colour from an inkpad...I find this technique very relaxing and a lovely result.
The greetings are from the Pretty Perennials bundle and the giftbox is one of the super cute "Love You Always" Treat boxes.

If you are happily hopping, you would have arrived here from my lovely friend and talented creator Kelly Kent and l'm sure she had something fabulous to share!
But if you've just landed here, you can follow the hop and see all of the wonderful crew projects by clicking the link or "Next" banner below.
