Just Add Ink....#167

It's time to share this weeks challenge over at Just Add Ink. We want you to "Just Add Fabric" Suggested by Tina. I decided to keep my project simple and 3D by adding hessian and fabric to one of the cute little Kraft boxes available from Stampin-Up. Of course it wasn't complete until l added a lovely big flower made with the SU Blossom punch. I do love playing with packaging...:0)

I love the simplicity of this project and yet l don't think it looks under done. I do love the Spice Cake range of fabric, the colours are really lovely.
Don't forget to check out the DT samples for more inspiration and hopefully you can join us and play along.

Petite Purse.........

Evening everyone!....Well l'm back from an amazing 5 days in Brisbane at Stampin-Ups Convention and have heaps to share with you, but first l need to sort pics and info and l will be back with all the goss in another post shortly!
I really just popped in to share these cute little "Petite Purse Die" boxes with you. A week or so ago l went to lunch with friends and wanted to take something for each of them and as l love making little gifts and decorating them, l decided to have a go at this cute idea that l had originally seen on LeeAnn Greffs blog forever ago, she is certainly one clever lady!

Pretty cute huh!....and super quick & fun as well.

Convention 2013.... Part 3

I will keep this post short, as l need my beauty sleep before heading to the Airport early in the morning (although Convention will be over by the time you read this). This is my second general swap for Convention, still using the same colour combination, but a little prettier!

Don't forget to stop by for the last installment of Swaps and other bit's......coming soon!

Convention 2013... Part 2

Originally l had decided not to do general swaps for Convention, but as time went on, it got the better of me and l ended up making some using 2 designs, here's the first of them.  Not the best of pics I'm sorry, as l had totally forgotten to photograph them and buy the time l did remember the light was pretty average and hasn't really done them justice.

I got to ink up my brand new "World Treasures" stamp set and crack open my pkt of International Bazaar DSP. As with all of my swaps and roomie gifts, l stuck to a similar colour palette of Soft Sky/Pool Party, Tangerine Tango/Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade/Pear Pizazz in various combinations throughout and of course what Peacock would be seen in public without shimmer and sparkle, although it's pretty hard to see in these pics.

I have a couple more post's of Convention goodies to share with you, so don't forget to check back later for those.

Convention 2013 Part 1.....

By the time this post goes live, l will be enjoying all of the fun and excitement that is Stampin-Up's Brisbane Convention and have no doubt been enjoying a lot of laughter and hugs catching up with friends old and new and letting out a heap of wows and oohs and aah's as we are enlightened to the new products heading our way.
This years Convention is being held in Brisbane and that means one big sleepover with the girls from Just Add Ink and friends, so l thought l would share the gift l made for my roomies.

I used the Petite Purse die to create some cute little goody bags and loved how simple they were to put together.

I know you want to see whats inside...:0) I created a personalised bag tag for each one and popped in a yummy Raffaello ball, l tried to fit 2, but it changed the shape to much. You may notice mine is a round one, due to our roomie count growing,  but that's OK, l like being the oddball...:0)

As you can see, l have used Lot's of goodies from the Seasonal catalogue to decorate with and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Don't forget to pop back later for part 2 of my Convention sharing!

Stippled Blossoms

Good Morning!....I actually managed to write another post just for fun...whoohoo! This time l have a rather simple layout using Stippled Blossoms, Sassy Salutations and a heap of left over strips of Basic Black card stock.
I think the Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Black and Gold combination is rather striking and definitely one l will revisit.

Swallowtail Rainbow...

Hello!....Hope you are all enjoying the start to the weekend. Thought l would pop in and share a card that's not a DT submission, I've been a little slack with that lately and thought it needed rectifying...:0)

I used the beautiful, but oh so huge Swallowtail stamp from SU and inked it up by creating a rainbow inkpad  using my Brights reinkers and some cut"n"dry foam (Ranger Industries). I love the idea of being able to create an inkpad in any colour combo l like and especially love using the brights pack for this. I have been using this inkpad for about 3 months now and just pop it into a ziplock bag when I'm done, ready for next time.

Just Add Ink #166

Hiya!....This week we have a lovely colour challenge over at Just Add Ink compliments of Delys. I had fun with these colours and inking up my Fine Feathers set from Stampin-Up. I'm really loving the feather trend that's emerging lately and thought this was the perfect challenge to play with them.

I used the "Baby Wipe" technique to create a multi tone look for the feathers and greeting, l love using this technique, you can create such lovely colour palettes with it.
While l still had ink left over, l thought l would stamp a couple more and mounted them on different coloured base panels.

The Design Team have come up with lot's of lovely inspiration with these colours, so don't forget to check them out.

Just Add Ink #165

Whoohoo!......It's Friday and that means it's Just Add Ink challenge time again and this weeks challenge was set by Christine and she wants us to "JUST ADD WOODGRAIN"....pretty easy isn't it!
With all of the wonderful Woodgrain products around these days, it took me a little while to decide what to use. I eventually opted to christen a sheet of my Woodgrain specialty DSP from the Natural Composition pack.
I wanted to keep this card really crisp and clean, no shading etc and cut the lovely white Daisy's from the Blossom Party Die and the leaves from the Secret Garden Framelits.
To create a realistic looking mason jar, l stamped the image from Perfectly Preserved onto Window sheet using Staz-On and fussy cut around it close to the lines.

I'm really happy with the finished look, but l must share a little mishap. While l was heat setting the Crystal effects on the flower centres, l was sidetracked by a cheeky Mr 4 arriving unexpectedly and held the heat gun a little close to the window sheet, causing a slight dimple on the edge of the jar. But l think it adds to the look of originality, as some of the vintage Mason jars l have are rippled anyway, so l left it as is...:0)

Don't forget to go see the rest of the Design Teams samples.....they are really beautiful!

Just Add Ink #164...

It's that time of the week already and this week we have a great "Sketch" challenge for you at Just Add Ink, provided by Mae. I actually have two cards to share using this sketch, l made the Doily one first, then decided to use it a second time to create a fun Birthday card for a child.

And here's my second slightly "Brighter" card.......

Don't forget to check out the design teams lovely samples for more ideas on how to use this sketch.
