Just Add Ink #605...Inspiration!

Its Inspiration challenge time over at Just Add Ink  and for this one Kim has given us some beachy inspiration to create with.

I actually don't have a lot of beach themed stamp sets, so l improvised using the colours and the Artistically Inked and  Timeless Tropical stamps to create my project.
I chose a few of the new Stampin Up! In Colours in Parakeet Party-Tahitian Tide-Starry Sky and some Crumbcake to create my background and used my Stampin Write Markers to colour direct to rubber on the palm tree...Pretty simple, but l am happy with it considering l was short on beachy images.

Lots of great inspiration from the design team, so make sure you click the link above and check them out too!

Colour INKspiration #122

Over at Colour INKspiration we have a brand new challenge and this one is from Monica.

The 5 NEW In-Colours from Stampin up! are the colour pallet for this one and as long as we have used 3 of them on our projects we are good!

My 3 chosen colours are Parakeet Party-Orchid Oasis-Sweet Sorbet! I have to say l do love this round of colours, but being so bright l find myself wanting to tone them down a little.
So Basic white is always my go to for that and Hand-Penned Petals was my stamp set of choice!

I have added some texture using the Painted Texture embossing folder and some sparkle using the pretty Parakeet Party In Colour ribbon.

INKspired to join in the challenge? Firstly check out the fabulous inspiration from the design team over in our facebook album and then create and load your project using the challenge colours.
You can also include Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb cake, Sahara Sand and Metallics.
If you are not already a member of our Facebook group, you can click on the link above to be redirected where you can request to join, get creating and add your project.

Just Add Ink #604...Case Yourself!

Good Morning everyone!

This weeks fun Just Add Ink challenge of "Add a Case of Yourself" was suggested by Jan and it was so much fun!

I think what l enjoyed most was scrolling back through all of my (JAI) projects and seeing just how varied and at times unusual, my creative journey has been.

I finally after much deliberation chose to case a card that although not technically difficult, was one that kept catching my eye!
Recreating something old, with something new was most enjoyable and l have to say something l may well do again.

NEW products are from the gorgeous Hues of Happiness suite and although l didn't use the stamps, l could have for this one, but decided on die cutting the flowers and foliage from the Hues of Happiness DSP...Love that the dies coordinate with some of the dsp images...no fussy cutting needed.
The background stamping uses the Daffodil Daydream border stamp & the panels were embossed with both the Stripes & Splatters embossing folders.
The sentiment is from the Art Gallery set and was heat embossed with White E/P onto some Melon Mambo cardstock and layered onto Basic White to give the same effect as the cased version.

*Speaking of Embossing Powder, anyone have any idea why my SU white E/P is now an almost Very Vanilla colour & not performing well at all* Is it just old and l need to order some new?

Stamp Review Crew...Sending Smiles!

Evening all!

Stamp Review Crew are hopping and this one is all about the gorgeous "Sending Smiles" bundle and l'm in love!

If you are happily hopping, you would have arrived here from Debra Burgin and l'm sure she had something fun and creative to share!
But if you've just landed here, you can follow the hop and see all of the wonderful crew projects by clicking the link above or "Next" banner below.
Stamp Review Crew are a wonderfully talented group of Stampin Up! demonstrators from across the globe that come together twice a month to share lots of fabulous ideas using Stampin Up! products.

If Holly hadn't set this as a hop, l may well have postponed purchasing this bundle, but oh my goodness, l am so, so glad she did! I think this bundle will definitely see a lot of ink, it is so lovely to create with.

My project for this one also features my current fave Stripes & Splatters 3D embossing folder...It is just perfect for adding subtle texture.

Inkpad colours are Fresh Freesia-Mango Melody-Cajun Craze-Old Olive, with a Kraft sentiment and c Linen Thread...It's sweet and it's simple.
