Just Add Ink #507...Sketch!

This week we have a lovely sketch from Jackie. Simple lines and design are always fun, as it leaves creating whatever we like open in so many ways!

I have gone Autumn ones and used the floral image from the Ornate Garden stamp set and coloured with Stampin Blends.
I have also used a mask on the bottom left hand corner to add a couple of extra blooms to fill it out a bit and speckled the panel with Cajun Craze re-inker.

The rest of the team have created some fabulous projects with the sketch, so make sure you pop over to the challenge blog for loads of lovely inspiration.

Colour INKspiration #78

Evening all!

The Colour INKspiration team are sharing our projects made with this soft colour combination of Blushing Bride-Gray Granite-Early Espresso.
I decided l would combine them with my new "Forever Fern" bundle and although it was challenging to create a foliage card without greens, l think it actually works ok.
I used the subtles embossing folder to give the Gray Granite panel some love and kept the rest fairly simple, only adding some gold twine & pearls.

The rest of the Colour Ink team have created some beautiful projects to share. If you would like to see them all, you can click on the link above, to be redirected to our Facebook page. Where you can request to join if you haven't already and also play along, sharing your projects.

Social Stamping...Animals!

Happy weekend all!

The Social Stamping group are hopping and sharing once again and this week Kelly has given us "Animals" as a theme...Fun!
The lovely Kelly Kent is the brain child behind the social Stamping group. It was a wonderful idea to keep us creating and connected during the Covid19 isolation period and lt has been such a lovely way to share and create and keep us all occupied and in touch...Thanks Kelly for the time and effort you have given!

As l don't have a huge variety of animal stamps that are current, l once again reached for a retired stamp set called "Storybook Friends" to create a couple of sweet 4"x 4" Baby gift cards, with hand painted rainbows!

I had been eyeing off a couple of wonky modern look rainbow products from other companys, but had yet to purchase. But during this ISO period, l have been doing some of the OCC classes and this popped up as a technique from Debby this week and l think its solved my need to purchase...for now anyway!

For the Lamb "Rainbow" l used Mint Macaron-Blushing Bride-Pool Party-Petal Pink.

And for this cute puppy, l used Terracotta Tile-Call Me Clover-Perfect Peacock-Rococo Rose.

If you are happily hopping you are now off to see what fabulous project Angela has created. But if you get lost along the way or would like to see the full list of hoppers, you can click on the Social Stamping link above.

Just Add Ink #506...Inspiration!

Good Morning everyone!

Its Just Add Ink challenge time and this week we have some Inspiration to help get us creating. I absolutely love the bold colours and dainty florals in this one.

So for my project, l went with some retired foliage images from "World of Dreams", to create a fun background and used another retired set of Alpha dies to create my sentiment.

I really love the look of the bold colours on crisp white and think l will definitely be revisiting this technique....Its fresh and fun!

The rest of the design team have some fabulous & creative ideas to share, so make sure you pop over to the challenge blog for a peek!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone

Social Stamping...Sunshine!

Happy weekend everyone!

We are hopping again over at Social Stamping and this week Kelly has set the theme as "Sunshine" Lots of  fabulous and fun ideas from everyone for this one...We could all use a lot of it at the minute!

I was just a little excited to have my Stampin Up! pre-order arrive. Perfect timing for creating my "Sunshine" project!

"The Jar of Flowers" bundle was the perfect choice for creating my Sunshine share! I chose the Sunflower and Tulip images, along with the Mason jar in Misty Moonlight and the cute pot in Magenta Madness, both are two of the lovely new In Colours.

I used my blends to colour in as close to these as l could, using Lovely Lipstick-Mango Melody-Call Me Clover-Ivory & Bronze and little Night of Navy for the Mason Jar.
The greetings are from the retired "Sunshine Sayings" bundle and the base panel was embossed with another new toy, the "Old World Paper" embossing folder and some In Colour enamel dots to finish.

You can find all of the Sunshine hoppers by clicking on the Social Stamping link above and I hope you enjoy hopping at social Stamping as much as l do!

Next up is Sheila Pybus and l'm sure she will have something fabulous and fitting to share!

Just Add Ink #505...Thinking of You!

Happy Friday Folks!

Its Just Add Ink challenge time and this week Chantell has suggested we let someone know we are thinking of them! Its the perfect theme for showing appreciation to all of our essential workers in many areas of our lives.
I have one very special lady in mind for this one, she is a nurse and a beautiful person! She works in a field that many would struggle to face on a daily basis, not to mention the pressure our medical staff face at the minute. But still, she manages to smile through it all.

The rest of the team have created some amazing projects, so make sure you pop over the challenge blog for those!

Social Stamping...Family!

Happy Mothers Day for tomorrow everyone! Wishing you all a lovely day and l hope you get to connect with those you love!  And if you are a homeschooling Mum...You are amazing!

Its so important to keep in contact at the moment and being a part of the Social Stamping group has been a wonderful way to stay connected, keep sharing and creating during recent times. l am so grateful to Kelly for this fabulous group of creatives and the effort she puts in each week to keep it happening.

With loads of NEW goodies on the horizon from Stampin Up!, l have been working my way through a few retired or retiring products before they disappear and one of my absolute faves from the current catalogue is the Free as a Bird DSP. So much so, l might have actually ordered myself a brand new pkt before its gone.

I love that you can fussy cut the images and create a lovely watercolour look, without the time involved to do so...Mind you, colouring in any form is relaxing and enjoyable to me and one of my favourite things to do.

The greeting is from a retired set called "Part of my Story" l thought it was apt for this weeks theme of "Family" and it is stamped on one of the diecuts from the Stitched so Sweetly dies. It all has a liberal coating of Wink of Stella, so IRL it is so sparkly!

You can find a full list of hop participants by clicking on the link above.

Next up is Odette and l'm sure she has something fabulous to share!

Just Add Ink #504...Colour!

Good Morning and Happy Mothers Day weekend!

Our new challenge over at Just Add Ink is all about this pretty colour combination from Tina!
I couldn't for the life of me decide what products to use with these colours, but then l remembered it was nearly Mothers Day and l could kill two birds with one challenge (no birds were actually harmed in the making of this card) :0)

So l created two same, same but with slight differences. Those being the sentiments and cardbase. For the first l used Whisper White and the the Mothers Day sentiment from Crazy About You (retired) set and for the second l went with a Smoky Slate base and a sentiment from Bloom and Grow.

The florals for both are first & second generation Rococo Rose using Floral Essence and the leaves are Smoky Slate using the Leaf Punch.
I have added some of the gorgeous new Gilded Gems and a strip of Gold Glimmer cut with the Ornate Layers dies. Both from the lovely NEW Ornate Garden suite and popped up on an a brick wall embossed panel.

Lots of lovely inspiration from the design team, so don't forget to check them out!
