Just Add Ink #795...Stencils-Dies & Kids!

Over at Just Add Ink challenges we have fun new one happening and we've added a twist to our "Stencils & Dies" challenge. This one has a theme of "KIDS".

As l had just got the awesome new "Hot Foil System" from Stampin Up! it was always going to feature on this one. I was well and truly warned how addictive this hot foiling technique would be and lets just say it has exceeded expectations.

So far l have only purchased 3 of the hot foil dies, but may have added another 3/4 to my cart already.

This project is using the Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies in Lost Lagoon on Basic White. I started by hot foiling some Lost Lagoon & Barely Blush cardstock with the gorgeous Swiss Dots hot foil die and diecut some balloons from the balloon festoon dies. 

Then used the Sweetly Sentimental hot foil dies to create the sentiment on Barely Blush cardstock. These were all hot foiled using the Gold SU hot foil.

The sweet little florals and foliage are from the Boutique Blossoms bundle in Barely Blush & Soft Sea foam, with some of the 26/28 In Col dots in Golden Glow and finished it off with some of the dainty little 26/28 In Col Butterflies in Barely Blush and #8 diecut in gold foil (both the numbers dies and foil are long retired).

Just Add Ink #794...Sketch!

 

It is time for a new challenge over at Just Add Ink and this one is from Jan. I do love a good sketch and this one is so simple and fun to create with.

Showcasing some more new toys on this one and went heavy on the Golden Glow, one of the 26/28 In Colours...love, love, love this colour and chose some of the coordinating dsp in gingham.

The Sweetly Sentimental stamp set is my absolute new fave! You can use the stamps and inkpad to colour or colour with any other medium if you just use the line art...very versatile! 

Foliage is Old Olive and l ended up using every stamp in the set, which is unusual for me.

To finish off l diecut the tag element from the Scalloped Blooms dies and stamped a sentiment from the Everlasting Thanks stamp set...Added a linen thread bow and some moody palette glossy dots to complete.

Colour INKspiration #217

Over at Colour INKspiration challenge, Michelle has provided this gorgeous spring inspired colour palette for us to create with.

Perfect timing for creating with some new goodies from Stampin Up!

I started with a standard basic white cardbase, trimmed down slightly to sit behind the largest Scalloped Circle die used as the front panel.

This pretty DSP is from the new Mosaic Garden pack and all of the prints and colours are just lovely in this one. I chose one of the Crisp Cantelope patterns to sit behind my florals.

They are also a newbie from the Everlasting Thanks stamp set, coloured with Stampin Blends & Coastal Cabana inkpad & blender pen. I have used all of the challenge colours in this prettyfloral image.

Sentiment is from the Opulent Oasis stamp set. To add some sparkle, l have added some of the loose gold sequins & twisted gold thread.
