Just Add Ink #106

Well I'm back with my one constant weekly post..:0) It's Just Add Ink time and check out the fabulous "Sketch" challenge we have for you this week........compliments of Bronwyn Eastley
Here's what l came up with, pretty true to the sketch layout other than flipping it on it's side, It was about as creative as l got this week....seriously lacking in mojo...:0(

It's a little hard to see in the pics, but l gave the Newsprint (Old book) flower a spritz of Pearl White Shimmer paint & Isocol mix, it's actually quite pretty in real life & it gave it a much needed lift.

If you haven't seen them already go take a peek at the exceptional DT creations. The girls have come up with some really cool ideas using the sketch and I'm sure you will find all the inspiration you will need to get you motivated to play along.

All products used are Stampin-Up unless otherwise stated.

Just Add Ink #105

Morning bloggers, can you believe were already 6 Challenges in for 2012, this week JAI have a lovely "Colour Challenge" provided by Kim ........
I recently enrolled in a Clean & Simple online card class with Jen McGuire, Julie Ebersole & Kristina Werner and one of the Techniques was various forms of Masking, l got to thinking this would be a great one to use with this weeks colour combo and l'm glad l did...l'm kinda liking this one!

I loved making this card and enjoyed that l had actually put into practice a technique from the class.

If your looking for some more inspiration head over to Just Add Ink and have a peek at the talented DT entries.

Just Add Ink # 104

Morning people, time for Just Add Ink again & our challenge for this week is to add "Back to School".    I must admit to being a little stumped at first, not having school age little's, but then it dawned on me that school age could be any age really, so l got the idea for a "Notebook & Bookmark"  l'm pretty happy with how it turned out and it would also make a great teacher present too!

This was a fun project to create and if you pop on over to the Just Add Ink  blog you can see all the fun ideas that the rest of the DT came up with.

Paper Players Challenge #80...take 2.

As l mentioned in my previous post, l had made 2 cards for the Paper Players Challenge and couldn't decide which one l liked best, so l entered them both....this is my second and very yellow card.
As you can see l have a bit of a yellow thing going on here, l adore Daffodil Delight from SU, teamed with white it makes a lovely summery card l think and l had that lonely little yellow flower from Kaiser sitting on my desk and thought it was perfect for the centre.

The Paper Players Challenge #80........

This weeks challenge over at Paper Players challenge blog the challenge is to use "Flowers", it has been ages since l played along with a challenge (other than JAI), so here's the first of my flower cards, l actually made 2 and couldn't decide which one l liked better.........I might add this was not easy to photograph, sorry.
Pretty CAS in design, but l do like the way the flower & leaves pop on the white background & l couldn't resist misting my flower with a little champagne shimmer mist......love that stuff!
My leaves are stamped in Almost Artichoke ink on Old Olive cardstock using the French Foliage set from SU & fussy cut out.
The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and l used my Scor-pal to create a little interest on the bottom, added some clear rhinestones and secured the punched circles for the flower using a rhinestone brad.
