Pink Bumblebee!

Using our Just Add Ink sketch from this week as inspiration, l thought it wouldn't hurt to have a pink version of my DT card in stock as well...So l guess you could say it's "Same, Same, but different" and at least l overcame my aversion to using a doily on this one..:0)

I'm a little taken with this cute little image and sweet "Happy Heart" embossing folder..:0) Not that you can see in the pics, but I've added some "Dazzling Details" to the wings and punched a matching heart from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper....It's just a little pretty and sooo, girly!

CAS-Sweet Briar Rose!

Happy Sunday to you!....As you can tell I've been getting a lot of mileage out of my "Sweet Briar Rose" stamp. For this one, l really wanted a bright crisp look, so kept my colours minimal on Whisper White.
I embossed the image in black and block coloured with my Blendies in Melon Mambo & Old Olive. It's definitely makes an impact on the white and was so quick to make.

Just Add Ink #256....Sketch!

Yay...It's Friday! and that means a new challenge over at Just Add Ink and this week Tina has given us a lovely sketch to create with.
I must say the doily element had me going for a bit, as l generally don't think outside the box when it comes to a sketch challenge. But after much deliberation, it dawned that there is no reason not to use a circle or other element instead..:0)
I really wanted to ink up this little cutie and have another play and as there seems to be an influx of boy babies of late, l figured a blue version was a safe bet to have in stock.

Don't forget to pop over and check out how the rest of the DT used this weeks sketch, there are some fabulously creative projects to inspire..:0)

Petal PotPourri Birthday!

Happy Thursday all!....I made this card for a lovely friends birthday recently. Hope you had a lovely day sweet lady. xx
It was inspired by a very cool technique, shared by Shelli Gardener at the recent leadership conference in the US.
The timing was perfect, l'd just received my BBB (Big Brown Box) from SU and this set was in there...Yay!
It was such a fun way to use it, perfect for when you can't be bothered getting out the "Stamp a ma jig", and stamping out of the lines doesn't mean it's a bin job..Ya gotta love that!

Just Add Ink #255...Eggs or Ovals!

Hey there!...It's that time of the week again and this weeks Just Add Ink challenge is to "JUST ADD EGGS OR OVALS"...It's perfect for creating that "Easter" project or if that doesn't float your boat, you can do as I've done and create whatever you like!
I have only recently inked up this "Sweet Briar Rose" stamp for the first time and l love it! I don't know what took me so long, it really is so pretty and is a great size for card front's.
I used the Kraft cardstock as my base and embossed the image once on that and once on some Whisper White and coloured it with Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive Blendies. The DSP is from the "Back to Black" dsp pack and those itty bitty tags are part of the Curvy Keepsake set.

Little Baby Bumblebee!

Afternoon everyone!...I hope you are all enjoying your weekend..:0)
So, l finally caved and purchased this sweet little Bumblebee image from the Occasions catty and have been having a bit of fun colouring it with Blendabilities (no longer available)..:0( I couldn't resist going with traditional Bee colours, as they coordinate so well with the "Sweet Dreams" Dsp, l love the Aztec patterns and gorgeous colours in this pack.

Just Add Ink #254...Colour!

Kim has given us some beautiful Autumn tones to work with this week over at Just Add Ink. And as I'm an orange fan, the yummy "Tangelo Twist" was always going to be the feature colour on my project..:0)
As you can tell, I'm a little obsessed with the super cute "Mini Treat Bag" die and it was perfect for showcasing these colours.
The "baked Brown Sugar" bloom, was one l had on hand from a mass producing session long ago, when l first designed these flowers..:0). It's made with the Mosaic Punch. If you'd like to have a go, you can find my original tutorial Here

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and check out the "Autumn Goodness" the DT has created.

Mini Treat bag....New Zealand Retreat Project #2.

Evening!...This is my 2nd retreat project. I love using Vellum, but do find it a little difficult when it comes to packaging, as I'm not a fan of seeing images through it.
So l decided to have a go at some hidden stamping, using the floral and leaf images from the "The Crazy About You" stamp set...I was pretty happy with how it turned out and really enjoyed presenting this cute packaging option....Even if l did end up with "Fast Fuse" all over the place..:0)

The colours l used are Elegant Eggplant-Perfect Plum-Daffodil Delight-Wild Wasabi & some Silver Glimmer Paper.
Not the best pics l'm sorry, but they were taken during a run of dull Melbourne Days..:0)

Berry Basket...New Zealand Retreat Project!

Happy Sunday everyone!....I thought l would share one of the projects l created and presented at the NZ "Creative Escape Retreat" last weekend.
I absolutely adore this sweet little "Berry Basket" die and the gorgeous "Blossom Bouquet" die as well. Combined, they make such a lovely gift basket and l thoroughly enjoyed creating this project and sharing with the lovely NZ ladies...I hope they enjoyed making it, as much as l enjoyed presenting...It really was a fabulous event and l was so excited to be asked by Delys to be there...:0)

I will pop back with the second project shortly..:0)

Just Add Ink #253....Inspiration!

Well didn't that week just fly by..:0) I've had the best week, New Zealand was fabulous! It was wonderful to spend a few days with Delys Cram & Paula Dobson at the "Creative Escape Retreat" in Ohope beach and catching up with Andrea and Karen and meeting all of the lovely ladies that attended. The food was amazing, the venue superb and the projects and company were just the best!

Now It's time for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge and this week is "Inspiration"...I am loving the "Pink/Black/White & Silver" colour scheme and as you can tell, the butterfly too..:0)
If you look really, really closely, you can almost see me in the silver foil paper, this could be a whole new style of "Selfie"...lol. The joys of photographing metallic cardstock..:0)

If you stop by the challenge blog you can see all of the creative ways the DT took inspiration from the pics.
