Just Add Ink #348...Ombre!

We have a brand new challenge starting over at Just Add Ink. This week Rochelle has suggested we add "Ombre" to our projects.
As l'm still on my "Lift me Up" bundle obsession, l chose the SAB dsp called "Carried Away" that coordinates with the bundle and using Peekaboo Peach and the foam roller, l created an Ombre background.
The splatters are an old fave technique from a Tim Holtz class l did eons ago. Its fun, simple and effective. Using a spray bottle of water, spray it into your palm, let it drip to your finger tips and flick over the inked area. Allow it to wick out and dry naturally for best results.

Don't forget to stop by and check out all of the fun Ombre projects from the design team.

Colour INKspiration #04

 Colour INKspiration.

It's time for another Colour INKspiration challenge. This one is very cheery and bright and it was fun to stretch myself with some different colours.
I have teamed them with the Banner Blast & Birthday Blast bundle to create some fun packaging.

The box was created using the Simply Scored tool and one peice of A4 whisper white cardstock.
With the 8.1/4 edge at the top, l scored at 2"- 4"- 6" & 8".
Then rotated to the long edge and scored on both ends at the 2" mark (creating the end flaps).

Previous on the blog hop was  Rachel Palmieri  and her pretty watercolour blooms. If you wish to start at the start you can click the CI banner above or you can keep happily hopping by clicking the next banner below.

Stamp Review Crew...Lift Me Up!

 Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to a new edition of Stamp Review Crew. For this one we are showcasing lots of fab projects created with the "Lift Me Up" product bundle.
You may have just arrived from the fab blog of Rochelle Blok and her inspiring Lift Me Up project. If so, you can keep happily hopping by clicking the "Next" banner below or you can start at the "Stamp Review Crew" blog by clicking the banner above.

My first project is very quick and simple to create and works perfectly for an upcoming masculine birthday.
I have incorporated the lovely free "Carried Away"  SAB dsp and used the colours from that as the starting point.
Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate, Peekaboo peach and Night of Navy.

My second card uses only one stamp image and that is the cute heart from this set. It reminds me of those sweet candy hearts we could get as kids...Anyway, this is just a simple V-day card, but it could be used for other occasions too.

Just Add Ink #347...Colour!

 Just Add Ink

Welcome to this weeks Just Add Ink Colour challenge!

Kim has given us some pretty colours to play with this week and l thought they would work well with the "Inside the Lines" SAB dsp to create a pretty background for my sentiment.
I have used the SU Markers direct to paper and mostly just block coloured, but on some l used a blender pen to soften the edges.
Some of the flowers got a dose of WoS to add some sparkle, although not so easy to see in the pics..:0)

I find colouring a very therapeutic way to pass the time and love the designs and possibilities of this "FREE" dsp.

Don't forget to pop over and be inspired by the rest of the DT's creativeness.

Just Add Ink #346...Just Choose Two!

Hello & Happy almost weekend people!

This weeks Just Add Ink is a multiple choice challenge...Not difficult, you just get to choose your elements!
I've gone with "Flowers & Butterflies" using the "Inside the Lines" SAB dsp and "Papillon Potpourri" for my butterfly.
To colour both l used the SU watercolour pencils and an Aqua painter, added lots WoS sparkle to the butterfly and teamed it with Calypso Coral and Old Olive cardstocks and just a little Gold Glimmer for a hint of elegance!

Stamp Review Crew...Sunshine Sayings!

 Stamp Review Crew

It's Stamp Review Crew time again and this hop we are showcasing the lovely "Sunshine Sayings" set. The sentiments are lots of fun and coordinated with the matching "Sunshine Wishes" thinlits, it really is a very simple and easy way to create lovely cards.

If you are following the hop, you would have just arrived from the blog of  Dawn Tidd and her fab project! But if you have just landed here and wish to start at the start, you can click the link or banner above to be re-directed or you can keep happliy hopping by clicking the "NEXT" banner below!

For my first project l have combined the stamps and thinlits to create a very CAS card perfect for letting someone know you care!
The colours l've used are Rich Razzleberry-Old olive-Sweet Sugarplum-Basic Black & Whisper white!

My second card uses the "Sunshine Sayings" set without the thinlits. In hindsight l should have embossed in clear E/P rather than whisper White as it appears very cream. The other colours on this one are Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron & Kraft.

Now you are off to be inspired by the lovely and talented Kelly.

Just Add Ink #345...Sketch!

It's Friday...Yay! And that means a brand new Just Add Ink challenge!  Narelle has provided a fun sketch for this week and l enjoyed inking up some new toys to create with it!

I have used the "High Tide" stamp set with Dapper Denim-Daffodil Delight-Smoky Slate & Sahara Sand.
My project is an alternative style masculine Valentines. Not being one to get all gushy, l think it fit the brief for the man just fine and l'm so glad l purchased this set. Initially l had bypassed it in the Occasions catty, but taking another look and seeing so many fab projects on Pinterest, l decided it was a "NEED" set..:0)

The rest of the design team have created some great projects to inspire, so pop over to the challenge blog and check them out!
