Just Add Ink #490...Add an Easel!

Happy Friday to you!
Over at Just Add Ink this week, the lovely Lou has challenged us to "Add an Easel". I always love creating fun fold cards and often my go to is a 4"x 4" size for an easel card, as l find it easier to create something l like in small scale.
I have gone tropical for this one using a new fave bundle called "Timeless Tropical" So much to love about this suite, with its gorgeous tropical florals and beautiful colours and images.
I was so inspired by a stunning creation from the lovely and talented Vicki Boucher and her Colour INKspiration card, that l just had to have a play for my easel this week..... l've gone crisp and clean, using simple stamped images in Perfect Peacock-Melon Mambo-Coastal Cabana and sparkly gold accents.

Lots of fabulous "Easel" inspiration happening on the blog, so make sure you pop over to see all of the design teams lovely projects!

I have been a part of this wonderful challenge group since March 2011, click Here if you would like a peek at my very first official design team post...It has been nearly 9yrs of wonderful friendships, gorgeous inspiration and loads of fun, laughter and special memories.

As part of our milestone celebrations the design team are offering prizes (South Pacific participants only). Our Top Pick & Honourable Mentions will receive a special gift. We'll be choosing some other entries to receive a little something also - to be eligible all you have to do is leave a comment on each of the blogs along the hop - 14 stops in total.

With our challenge theme being "Celebrate" l was able to create whatever l liked as long as l was celebrating something!
Birthdays are always a a reason to celebrate, so using the gorgeous "NEW" Stampin Up! "Timeless Tropical" bundle and coordinating products, this is what l came up with.
This suite is so much fun to create with and is very versatile, even for masculine cards!

Floral images were coloured using Stampin Blends.

Now you are off to be inspired by the lovely and uber talented Jo Stubbings Jo always inspires me with her beautifully coloured creations.

This set is super sweet, fun to colour and perfect for a birthday celebration and free if you purchase $90 in Stampin Up! products.

I used my Stampin Blends to colour and die cut some stitched rectangles, fussy cutting and popping  the florals up on dimensionals. I've also added some of the gorgeous Petal Pink metallic edged ribbon and some champagne rhinestones for added sparkle.

Stamp Review Crew...Beautiful Day!

 SRC

A big "Happy New Year" everyone!

I am back hopping at Stamp Review Crew today with our focus set "Beautiful Day". As l love colouring, this set is great for using any colouring mediums with its lovely large images.

I've gone with Stampin Blends using Call me Clover for the Butterfly and a mix of Daffodil Delight-Flirty Flamingo-Calypso Coral-Granny Apple Green for the other floral details, which are an image from "Bloom & Grow" and the "Lots of Happy" card kit.
I stamped the background with the gorgeous "Birch" background stamp in Flirty Flamingo on a Flirty Flamingo base.

I made this card for a friends birthday and as l was gifting her this fabulous "Frankie Gusti" candle with gorgeous artwork from Maria at "Say Hola", l wanted it to coordinate.
It looks beautiful and smells amazing (Kaffir-Mango-Coconut) and l really wanted to use colours as close as possible to those on her artwork.

If you are happily hopping, you would have landed here from the lovely Lou Kitzelman

Now you are of to be inspired by the fabulously talented Stesha
