Welcome to a new Colour INKspiration challenge from Lou!

How amazing is nature? The colours on this bird are so bright and vibrant and although l struggled a little creating with them, as l'm not a huge fan of Darling Duckling, l managed to put together a simple floral project.

Base embossing is the retired Brick folder, with 1" dsp strips, with distressed edges in Pretty Peacock from the Floral Charm dsp & Darling Duckling from the Brushed with beauty dsp.

I don't know why l struggle with Darling Duckling, just not my favourite yellow l guess. But l made it work by breaking it up with the dsp pattern and adding some blend coloured dots from the Rainbow Dots ass.

Blooms and foliage are fussy cut from the Floral Charm DSP and the sentiment is from the Lovely Blossom bundle in Pretty peacock and l've finished off with a Linen thread bow.

Just Add Ink #797...Choose Two!

 

Good Morning friends!

It is time for a new Just Add Ink challenge and this one is from Lou. She has challenged us to create a project adding two or more of the listed elements.

I have to say l do love the options in this one as it was perfect for another play with the New Stampin Up! Hot Foil System.

I've used the "Swiss Dots" plate with the gorgeous & vibrant Red hot foil....LOVING this fun addition to my craft supplies.The red foil matches beautifully with Poppy Parade.

Cardstock base is Barely Blush, its such a pretty pink, it tones beautifully with lots of Stampin Up! colours.

Poinsettia is Poppy Parade-Foliage is Old Olive & Mossy Meadow.

This project also features the Scalloped Cheers bundle & Pretty Poinsettia bundle. Both of these work so well together...Big bold florals & Big Bold letters.

So my "Choose Two" options were Spots & Letters.

To finish off and add some extra sparkle, l have coloured some basic rhinestones using Stampin Blends.

Just Add Ink #795...Stencils-Dies & Kids!

 

Happy Friday friends!

Over at Just Add Ink challenges we have fun new one happening and we've added a twist to our "Stencils & Dies" challenge. This one has a theme of "KIDS".

As l had just got the awesome new "Hot Foil System" from Stampin Up! it was always going to feature on this one. I was well and truly warned how addictive this hot foiling technique would be and lets just say it has exceeded expectations.

So far l have only purchased 3 of the hot foil dies, but may have added another 3/4 to my cart already.

This project is using the Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies in Lost Lagoon on Basic White. I started by hot foiling some Lost Lagoon & Barely Blush cardstock with the gorgeous Swiss Dots hot foil die and diecut some balloons from the balloon festoon dies. 

Then used the Sweetly Sentimental hot foil dies to create the sentiment on Barely Blush cardstock. These were all hot foiled using the Gold SU hot foil.

The sweet little florals and foliage are from the Boutique Blossoms bundle in Barely Blush & Soft Sea foam, with some of the 26/28 In Col dots in Golden Glow and finished it off with some of the dainty little 26/28 In Col Butterflies in Barely Blush and #8 diecut in gold foil (both the numbers dies and foil are long retired).

Just Add Ink #794...Sketch!

 

It is time for a new challenge over at Just Add Ink and this one is from Jan. I do love a good sketch and this one is so simple and fun to create with.

Showcasing some more new toys on this one and went heavy on the Golden Glow, one of the 26/28 In Colours...love, love, love this colour and chose some of the coordinating dsp in gingham.

The Sweetly Sentimental stamp set is my absolute new fave! You can use the stamps and inkpad to colour or colour with any other medium if you just use the line art...very versatile! 

Foliage is Old Olive and l ended up using every stamp in the set, which is unusual for me.

To finish off l diecut the tag element from the Scalloped Blooms dies and stamped a sentiment from the Everlasting Thanks stamp set...Added a linen thread bow and some moody palette glossy dots to complete.

Over at Colour INKspiration challenge, Michelle has provided this gorgeous spring inspired colour palette for us to create with.

Perfect timing for creating with some new goodies from Stampin Up!

I started with a standard basic white cardbase, trimmed down slightly to sit behind the largest Scalloped Circle die used as the front panel.

This pretty DSP is from the new Mosaic Garden pack and all of the prints and colours are just lovely in this one. I chose one of the Crisp Cantelope patterns to sit behind my florals.

They are also a newbie from the Everlasting Thanks stamp set, coloured with Stampin Blends & Coastal Cabana inkpad & blender pen. I have used all of the challenge colours in this prettyfloral image.

Sentiment is from the Opulent Oasis stamp set. To add some sparkle, l have added some of the loose gold sequins & twisted gold thread.

Just Add Ink #793...Colour & Inspiration!

 

It is "NEW" challenge time over at Just Add Ink and this one is Colour & Inspiration.

I decided to have fun with this one taking the whimsical look of the inspiration and using all of the colours. 

They were Stampin Ups Poppy Parade-Old Olive-Mossy Meadow-Crumbcake-Basic White and combining them with my unused "Wild Bunch" stamp set and the Fern & Flora bundle.

For some extra detail, l added some dots to the snail using the new white gel pen (my fave product at the min) he was coloured with Crumbcake blends and then some linen thread for a little bit of texture.

Over at Colour INKspiration challenges, Jan has given us this pretty colour combination to create with and these colours work beautifully together for a variety of themes.

For this one l have used the Boutique Blossoms bundle & the Opulent Oasis set for the sentiment.

Blooms have been stamped in Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia, foliage is Soft Sea Foam, shaded with a blending brush.

These are all popped up on a Perennial Postage stamp die cut in Blackberry Bliss for a bit of drama. Some linen thread & basic rhinestones for extra detail.

Just Add Ink #792...Choose Two!

 

It's time for a fun new Just Add Ink challenge. This one was suggested by Tristan and she has challenged us to choose two or more of the elements.

I have used all four on this simple project by adding some of the Peaceful Pines Gingham Gallery dsp, the Fern & Flora bundle for flowers, sentiment is stamped on a 1-3/4 punched circle and l've added some Loose Gold Sequins.

The other embellishments are 26-28 In Col dots & Butterflies, with some of the pretty Barely Blush Bordered Ribbon.

It's sweet & simple and was quick to create and the sentiment lends itself to a variety of occasions.
