Just add Ink #405....Inspiration!

Happy Friday to you!

It's challenge time over at Just Add Ink and this week Kelly has given us this dreamy , rustic inspiration to create with.
So of course there had to be some woodgrain involved and the element that caught my eye first was the gorgeous lightshade sphere. So wanting to emulate that element to some degree l used the largest die from the "Eastern Medallions" thinlits...At that point l decided it needed some florals and my absolute fave floral image at the minute is the flower cluster from "Petal Palette". These were coloured with Pink Pirouette & Old Olive blends and a liberal dose of Wink of Stella!

The JAI girls have created some stunning projects to give you loads of inspiration.

Stamp Review crew...Magical Day!

 Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to this fortnights Stamp Review Crew hop! For this one we are showcasing the very cute Magical Day set.
February and march holds lots of little peoples birthdays in our family, so a fun magical wizard card was perfect for a little mans celebration.
To colour him l used the Real Red & Bermuda Bay blends and Basic Grey for the starburst... As l have not long returned from almost 4 fabulous weeks in Bali, l'm still playing catchup so its sweet and simple from me this time, my fave kind of card these days.

Have you just arrived here from Mikes blog, l always enjoy seeing his take on each set. You can click the link and go see for yourself or you can click on the link or next banner below to keep hopping and see all of the teams projects or if you wish to start at the top you can click the SRC link or banner above.

Next up on the hop is the fabulously talented Tanya Boser

Just Add Ink #404...Shakers!

Hello! It's Just Add Ink challenge time once again and this week Di has challenged us to add a "Shaker" element to our projects.
As l have only recently purchased the "Eastern Beauty" bundle, l decided to crack it open and use the Eastern Medallion thinlits to create my shaker element.
I really love how many different ways you can cut and create with this set, l can't believe it took me so long to invest in them...Lots of fun!
The DSP I've used is from gorgeous Petal Passion pack of which I'm just a little obsessed...I even purchased a second pack, not something l normally do, but l just love the black & white patterns.
Although hard to see and even harder to photograph, I've layered the dsp and sentiment panel on some silver foil.

The rest of the design team have come up with some fabulous ways to create a shaker, so don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.

Just Add Ink #403...Colour!

Happy Friday everyone!

Over at Just Add Ink , Rochelle has given us these great colours to play with, not a combination l'd normally use, but they really look great together.

I used some Bermuda Bay ink on an acrylic block, spritzed with water to stamp on a piece of Shimmer card stock for the background panel. The 3 coloured balloons were also stamped on Shimmer card stock using the balloon from "Bird Banter" and coloured with Stampin Blends.
The die cut greeting is from the SAB "Celebrate You" thinlits and the dsp is from another SAB freebie "Bubbles and Fizz" and the inner Happy Birthday is from the "Perennial Birthday" set.

Lots of lovely inspo from the design team over on the challenge blog.

Just Add Ink #402...Choose two!

It's Just Add Ink  challenge time again and this week we have a fun multiple choice challenge. You can create whatever you like as long as it includes two of the options.
I've inked up the lovely "Cake Soiree" bundle and teamed it with some of the "Painted with Love" dsp, which has loads of lovely foil in the print.
For my second element l've used the "Sweet Soiree" decorative masks and the fine tip of my black marker to add dots to the cake.
And for the gold dots on the top half of the card l have used the "Gold Glitter Flakes" adhered with the fine tip glue.

The rest of the design team have created some great projects, so don't forget to pop over to JAI and check them out.

Just Add Ink #401...Sketch!

It's sketch time here at Just Add Ink and Tina has created this fun and simple design for us to create with!
I've been wanting to revisit the reinker/gloss cardstock technique and l decided that this sketch was the time!
I misted my piece of glossy cardstock with Isocol (rubbing alcohol), added literally only a drop or two of each colour, Old Olive & Bermuda Bay reinkers. Let them blend together, you can rotate the cardstock to keep it moving. Once l was happy with the coverage l popped it aside to dry.
I then completed my card with some coloured images from the "Epic Day" SAB set.

Don't forget to pop over and check out the rest of the design team creations.

Just Add Ink #400....Celebrations and Inspiration!

 Just Add Ink

Happy Friday to you! We have a big milestone celebration happening this week, "JUST ADD INK" challenges are turning 400!  Check out the JAI blog post for all the details on how we are celebrating!

It is an incredible achievement and one that l am truly thankful to be a part of. I have been creating for the design team for 7 years now, almost exactly to the day too! I absolutely love these talented ladies, past and present and the team spirit and friendship is truly a lovely environment to create in.
Congrats to everyone involved in keeping Just Add Ink a fun, fabulous and creative challenge!

Ok, so onto our 400th challenge at Just Add Ink and Kim has given us this sweet "Easter" inspo to play with!
I have combined the "Lots of Lovely" framelit box and the gorgeous SAB "Basket of Blossoms" bundle, along with the bunny from the "We must Celebrate" set to create some cute Easter packaging.

To alter the size of the box, l cut two pieces of 4-1/4" x 5" kraft cardstock and cut placing the curved flap of the framelit across the top 4-1/4" width (this is the exact framelit width) and used the 5" length to determine the box length.

The first "Blossom Basket" image was coloured using Stampin Up! Blends and the second was coloured using Bic markers. Both were popped up on Ovals cut with the "Stitched Shapes" framelits.

And just for something a little different, l thought l would share my super cute "Cacti Bunny"
I bought this cutie at a market early in the New Year and originally it was just the main piece and the little waving arm "Hola" and just in time for Easter, it now resembles a waving bunny...Well to me anyway!

The rest of the design team have created some gorgeous projects, so don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to see those.
