Just Add Ink #172...

Morning stampers!....It's time to share our challenge over at Just Add Ink and as this week was the release of the lovely new 2013-2014 "Stampin-Up" Catalogue here in South Pacific,  Mae thought it fitting that we find inspiration using the cover as a starting point!

I just love everything about this cover, but even more so the contents.....the whole thing just takes me to my "Happy Place"...:0) Anyhoo, onto my DT sample. Keeping in mind the pretty new In-Colours and the frame with it's fancy scroll border as my starting point, l went from there. I had been wanting to try the double embossing technique for ages and if you want to have a try yourself, checkout fellow UK Demonstrator Peg Coombes she has a great tutorial on her blog!

I also made a second one using So Saffron and the oval embossing folder from the "Designer Frames" set.

Don't forget to pop over and check out the DT samples and hopefully we can inspire you to join us.

"Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day"
All Supplies used are Stampin-Up

  4. They are both gorgeous and very elegant, Nikki. The first one is my favourite, I think. Such a shame that embossing folder was retired. I must give that technique a try :). Judy x
