Just Add Ink #198...."BLOG HOP"

Welcome to Just Add Ink's first 2014 challenge!

As you've probably guessed already, we have an amazing "Blog Hop" for you using one or more of the products pictured above. I chose to use all 3 to create my projects and had heaps of fun getting to know them better..:0)

If you are following the blog hop in order, you would have just arrived from the stunning projects Narelle created, they are ever so pretty and beautifully made. But if you have just popped in here direct, don't worry, you will find all of the design teams projects by following the arrow links below, or you can start at the begining from here.

To create the "BOX & BOW" l used the Envelope Punch Board and various combinations of the Label & Circle card Thinlits to create the gift card, roses & hearts!
I followed the info for box #1 of the fabulous tutorial by Tanya Bell over at StampingT blog available for $2. It comes complete with all you need to know to create 12 different sizes & shapes....Awesome value!

Grab a cuppa and get comfy, as there are lot's of blogs to visit and mine is rather heavy on the pic's..:0)

If you would like to play along, but don't own the Envelope Punch Board or the Card Thinlits, you can still join in with a flip style card as Chantell has done.
Now it's time for you to head over to see the very talented Patrice, just click on the arrow below and enjoy!

Flowerfull Heart CAS....

Evening all!....I've been a tad slow with the posts this week, due to the fact that temps Australia wide have been ridiculous. Here in Melbourne we are looking down the barrel of 4 days straight of 40c+ temperatures and tomorrow will be 44c and apparently will break a record of over 100 years...oh joy! Nothing like sausage fingers to get your mojo taking a hike..:0)

But l did manage to have a little play with this very pretty Flowerfull Heart single stamp from Stampin Up, l used my markers in Sahara Sand, Pear Pizazz, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron to ink it up and the Stampin Up Heart Framelits to diecut it. I added a Daffodil Delight seam binding bow and left the overall look CAS.

Rolled Rose Gift Bag...Sneak Peek!

Happy Saturday stampers!...Going by my previous posts you can tell I've been having Lot's of fun with my Envelope Punch Board from Stampin Up! I recently came across this super cute bag tutorial from Sam Donald in the UK, she has a fabulous collection of videos for all sorts of projects.

In keeping with my plan of "De stashing" my studio, l pulled out some SAB dsp that l have plenty of and set to making one of the cute, but generous sized little gift bags....Love how easy it was to put together!

I've used the OMG...WOW...lovely new "Rolled Rose" die from the upcoming Occasions brochure, which will be available from the 28th of January...Love it! Here  is the tutorial for how to create the Rose.
There are some fab new products coming, some of which l have been able to Pre-order being a Stampin-Up demonstrator and thus allowing me to give you a sneak peek over the next few weeks...Whoohoo!

Flowerfull Heart...

Morning stampers!...Thought l would share a sweet and simple card with you this morning, made with the Flowerfull Heart stamp from SU. It's so pretty and perfect for the lovely In-Colours from this year.
I used my SU markers to colour it, which is something l haven't done in ages, but thoroughly enjoyed revisiting..:0)
I added some of the very yummy In-Colour ribbon and some Dazzling Details to match and give it some sparkle.

Too Kind Watercolour Thank You Cards!

Good Morning!...Just popped in to share some super simple watercolour thank you card's l made the other day.
These were inspired by my Grandson Rafe's watercolouring with one of his Christmas presents....Thought l'd share the budding "Artist"  in action!

To create the background, l literally used my grandsons paints and just splotched it on and brushed it out to create a similar shape...very high tech..:0) I had a pkt of multi coloured envelopes in my stash, 3 of which were perfect, but not a mauve in sight. The bonus of having the Envelope Punch Board is all l needed was a piece of copy/art paper and l made my own...Absolutely "LOVE" this tool and l think l need those paints..lol!
I used the pretty SU stamp set called "Too Kind" and embossed the second layer and greeting in Gold e/p.

Envelope Punch Board Birthday Bonbons...

Happy Friday Peep's!...I'm slowly getting back into crafting mode after a very relaxing couple of weeks and thought l would share a couple of projects l made using the "Envelope Punch Board"...I love how versatile this tool is and definitely my fave go to at the minute.
I have used it to make heaps of Christmas projects, including Bonbons and thought they would work equally well as an all year round packaging option. So l pulled out some generic DSP and using this great tutorial from Caroline Hallett, l made the large version and decorated it to suit a Birthday gift.

The smaller one was created using the medium size in the tutorial...

I'm in love with how they look, so cute and pretty, l don't generally rave about what l do, but these just make me smile!...Thinking l need to try a masculine version now..:0)

Just Add Ink.."2013 A year in review"

"Happy New Year Blog Friends"
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely festive season with your loved ones and Santa delivered your every wish...

Over at Just Add Ink this week the design team are sharing their favorite project created in "2013" and we would love you to join in the fun and share your fave 2013 project as well....Link it up and let us see which one was yours!

My favorite was a little hard to choose, as different ones appealed for various reasons, but this one, although very simple is definitely at the top and l think that's due to the technique l used for double embossing. You can find the original post Here...with another sample of this technique and a link to how it's done.

Happy New Year & A Sneak Peek!

Welcome to my first post of "2014"...I hope you all a had a great NYE  and are ready to tackle the year ahead..:0)
One of my oldest friends is celebrating a birthday this week and l wanted to use this cute shop bought bag for her gift and l got to thinking a cute matching gift card would be nice.
So with my lovely little stash of SAB products sitting there begging for attention, away l went with a lovely stamp set that will be available here from January 28th called Petal Parade, it has some very cute images and l thought the flowers worked pretty well for this project. I also used a couple of flower images from Secret Garden and Fabulous Florets and the dots and splotches are Gorgeous Grunge and a skewer/pen tip.
