Colour INKspiration #197

Happy Wednesday all!

It's time to share this weeks new Colour INKspiration challenge and this one is from Vicki.

I've gone kind of rustic using only the colours and none of the extra allowed ones.
This one uses the Christmas Greenery dies-Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder-Delightful Wishes Bundle-Some Basic Pearls coloured with Night Of Navy Stampin Blend.
I've added some fine speckles using the Night of Navy inkpad and water on my aqua painter and flicked over randomly.

It's fairly basic in design, but l think will work for a masculine birthday just fine!

INKspired to join in the challenge? Firstly check out the fabulous inspiration from the design team over in our facebook album and then create and load your project using the challenge colours.
You can also include Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Basic Beige, Crumb cake and Metallics.

Just Add Ink #770...Colour!

Happy Friday everyone!

Our Just Add Ink colour challenge this week is from Diane and these colours are just so pretty together!

My project this week uses the Pretty Floral dies-Mini Corrugated embossing folder-Perrenial Postage dies-Impressions Abloom bundle-Arched Wishes dies-Boho Vibes dies-Basic Rhinestones-Silver Twine-Smoky Slate inkpad & the challenge colour inkpads/cardstocks.

I love how soft it all looks on the crisp white and it was lots of fun layering up all of the elements to create a sweet birthday card that l think could be used for multiple age groups.

Over at Just Add Ink we are making some changes, so this will be our last weekly challenge. We are moving to fortnightly challenges! Our next challenge will be on the 8th Oct.

Just Add Ink #768...Sketch!

 Good Morning friends!

Over at Just Add Ink Tristan has challenged us to create a project using this sketch as a starting point.

I've opted for a Birthday card for a "Travel Cup" queen using the Floral Charm DSP, diecut with the Cheers & Sips dies and a little fussy cutting to create a replica of her fave new addition to her travel cup collection.
Colours are Berry Burst & Timid Tiger, with Mossy meadow foliage. Sentiment is from the Charming Day bundle and embellishments are the 24/26 In Colour Flat Pearls.

Colour INKspiration #195

It's Wednesday friends and that means a new Colour INKspiration challenge! Monica has given us this fabulous somewhat monochrome colour pallet to create with...It's very cool and was fun to play with.

For my project this week, l reached for some bold sentiments and blooms, using the Sweet Blooms bundle & Impressions Abloom bundle to create a somewhat generic card that could be used for lots of occasions.
The panel is embossed with the Plaster Painting Embossing folder and l love that it gives a subtle texture but doesn't take over the project. I've also added some Party Dots to add some more yellow.

Just Add Ink #766...Add One Layer!

Good Morning,

This week over at Just Add Ink Kerry has challenged us to create a "One Layer" project using stamps and or stencils.

I do love a clean card, so this one really appealed to my creative instincts. The Layers of Beauty bundle is an absolute fave and having masks/stencils included made this the perfect choice.

I decided to offset the image and using my blending brushes, Berry Burst, Old olive & Mossy Meadow, l inked up the stamped image.

It's such a quick & simple process and so effective.

The super cute little lady birds are from the Mixed Florals stamp set, coloured in Poppy Parade, using the inkpad & blender pen, they just added that extra detail, but still kept within the challenge guidelines.

Lots of fabulous inspiration from the design team, so click the link if you haven't had a peek at those yet.

Colour INKspiration...#194

Evening Friends!

Our Colour INKspiration challenge this week is from Rose and these colours are just lovely, they have such a soft vintage vibe.

Generally my first pick would be florals, but l decided to stretch myself and use the Ocean Friends bundle and Waves embossing folder.

Using a base of Secret Sea, love this colour, it was definitely a shade of navy/blue l didnt know l needed. This was embossed using the Waves folder, just to add some background interest.

Soft Seafoam is the next layer and also the large coral/seaweed die cut.

The inky stamping behind that was various strengths of Fresh Freesia & Calypso coral. I love that first & second generation inking can soften the look of a project.
The crab cutie was inked in Fresh Freesia, lightly stamped off and some Calypso Coral added with a sponge dauber.

The sentiment, bubbles and watery speckles are Secret Sea and if you look closely, you can see a little piece of the Gold Open Weave trim...l do love this product, it allows for that little extra, without being obvious.

Just Add Ink #764...Choose Two!

Happy Friday friends!

Over at Just Add Ink we have a fun Choose Two challenge! I love these, as there are so many options & combinations you can create.

I decided on my pretty new Painterly Pears dsp and Pearls as my two elements. This paper is absolutely gorgeous both sides.
I started with a base of Secret Sea cardstock, then a layer of petal Pink to match the pretty flowers in the top layer of dsp.
I then die cut one of the smaller arches from the Arched Wishes dies and die cut one of the pears from the dsp, love that the coordination of dies & images makes it way easier than fussy cutting.
Although there was a little bit of that for the sweet floral elements.

These were all popped up on top of the arch, with a linen thread bow & sentiment from the stamp set...That definitely covered the DSP element and to finish off, l have added my second element choice of Basic Pearls to the flower centers.

Lots of fun Choose Two projects from the design team, so click the link if you want a peek at those.
