Happy Friday friends and a very "Happy New Year" to you all!
Over at Just Add Ink we are kick starting our 2025 challenge schedule with fun full design team "Blog Hop"...and there are some gorgeous projects to inspire!
The theme for this one is "Something New" and with the arrival of a new Stampin Up! mini catalogue and Sale a bration offerings, it was hard to choose which one to use.
After some deliberation, l decided on the gorgeous and colourful "Friends of the Ocean" suite of products and l'm in love!
I've used the lovely Soft Waves 3D embossing folder to give the background panel some love and then cracked open the "Friends of the Ocean" dsp and used the coordinating dies to cut out some of the bright fun crustaceans'.
I've also used the dies with Summer Splash and Lemon Lime Twist cardstocks to diecut the reeds & corals...loving the detail on these.

Before adding the crab & lobster, l cut a piece of the pretty Gold Open Weave Trim to add in between and give it some extra detail along with some of the Sunny Days Iridescent dots to finish off.
The greeting is from the Saying Something Ephemera pack.

Fun card Nikki! The Soft Waves Embossed background adds wonderful texture, love how all the elements co-ordinate beautifully together. Chantell xx
ReplyDeleteA gorgeously bright, fun card, Nikki! The embossing behind your crustaceans looks amazing too (I recently bought that folder and can't wait to try it!).
ReplyDeleteSuch a bright fun card Nicki. Love that open weave trim, perfect net to catch your crustaceans.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I've been on the (seaside) fence with this bundle Nikki. You've pretty much convinced me! I love how bright, cheery, fun and modern this card is. Love the extra touch from the gold weave trim.
ReplyDeleteWhile this suite is 'so not me' this really is the most delightful card I've seen using it! xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card Nikki! I love all the bright colours against the white. It makes for a fantastic contrast. Rochelle xo
ReplyDeleteThe textural touches added to your sea creatures card create that marina, nautical beachside vibe! Fabulous card!
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing this new set and love it!! It is on my wishlist!! Hopping on to the next card...
