Stamp Review Crew...Dry Brush Background!

Happy Monday Friends!

We have a new hop happening over at Stamp Review Crew and for this one we are sharing lots of fabulous inspiration for the "Drybrush Background" stamp.

This stamp is a must have in your stamping stash! For both of my projects l have used Mint Macaron & Blushing Bride randomly stamped to create dual colouring. But l have created two different effects, although both inked up on the stamp the same to begin with.
On the PEACE card, once inked, l used some paper towel bunched up and dabbed all over to soften off the harder lines and on the JOY it is stamped as inked, no dabbing, which gives a sharper edge to the colours.

I also couldn't resist inking up in the same colours and adding in "Shaded Spruce & Purely Pomegranate (retired)" the lovely "Peace & Joy" bundle for the details....absolutely loving this set as well and how well it works with the "Drybrush" background.

Here are a couple of other projects l've shared recently using the "Drybrush" background stamp.

If you are happily hopping, you would have landed here from the blog of Mary Haugen and her inspiring Drybrush project! But if not, you can click on the Stamp Review Crew link above to be redirected to our challenge page, where you will find a full list of hoppers!

Next up is Linda Callahan and l'm sure she has something fabulous to share too!

Apologies, for not linking to the "NEXT" graphic....it just wont attach, thanks Blogger for changing things...Grrr! Lindas link is just above!

  3. Gorgeous card - I love this stamp and am surprised it's not getting more exposure - great to see it being used here - I'm always singing its praises on my FB SU group.

  4. That stamp definitely creates a subtle and interesting background which you have enhanced with your paper towel dabbing. Thanks for the tip xx
