Just Add Ink #495...Rainbow!

Good Morning!

We have a brand new Just Add Ink challenge happening today and this week Rochelle has challenged us to add "Rainbows" to our projects.

As you can see it doesn't have to be literally a rainbow as such. I have gone with a rainbow of Balloons, created by die cutting with the "Lion Head" die from "Bonanza Buddies" on window sheet to create a stencil and sponged the colour over that, directly onto the cardstock to create each balloon...then speckling with water to create the dots...Lots of fun and l love being able to stretch my supplies in alternate ways.

I then used the bow image to add the strings and some strips of the Golden Honey SAB dsp and some sequins to finish off.
The sentiments are from the Happy Birthday To You, SAB stamp set and Label Me Bold.

My colours are  Gorgeous Grape-Bermuda Bay-Granny Apple Green-Mango melody-Flirty Flamingo.

Lots of fun and colourful creations from the rest of the design team over on the challenge blog, so make sure you pop over for a peek!

Thanks for stopping by!
All supplies used are Stampin Up!

  1. Great idea! Did you sponge the back of the balloons or the front. I would like to give this a try.

    1. Hi Jenny, thank you for stopping by...Not really sure what you mean by the front or back of the balloons?
I diecut from acetate to create a mask/stencil and then sponged directly on to the cardstock if that helps?

  4. A very creative use of a die meant for something else. I love the way you did this. Perfect for this challenge, but also good for anyone - man or woman. The spatters work perfectly.
