Just Add Ink #210....Easter!

Good Morning!....With Easter just around the corner our challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is to add "Easter Bags, Boxes or Baskets"  This challenge idea came from Kim and is a great way to get started on some Easter packaging.

I generally don't go nut's with Easter projects, as our little people get limited sweets, so not a big call for it in our family..:0) Instead l have created an Easter tradition of "Gumboots"...sounds weird maybe, but it's practical and the boy's love "New" gumboots and christening them is a must...:0). They do also get some little eggs inside their boot' is Easter after all and Nan can get away with a few..:0)
Both of my girls have carried on the tradition started when they were little and buy the kids "New" winter PJ's along with some Easter goodies and l love that they have kept that tradition going!

This cute little basket was made using the "Envelope Punch Board" and it's so simple to create! I used this great tutorial from CraftyHallett for the measurements and a variety of circle punches and some gold foil cardstock to decorate. I also went to town on some white tissue paper with the Fringe Scissors to nest the eggs in.

Apologies for the slightly dull photos, when l made these over a month ago, l was frantically getting ready for a holiday and had hoped to have time to retake them when we got home. But the last 2 days have been hectic and it just didn't happen..:0)

Pop on over to the Just Add Ink blog and check out the great array of Easter packaging on display from the design team.
"Thanks for stopping by"
All supplies used are Stampin Up unless noted!
(non SU pompom wool & tissue paper)

  1. I would just squeak with delight if a got such a lovely Easter basket Nikki. I love the dotty gold theme :) xxx

  2. We had the same PJ tradition when I was a kid and I too have carried it on with my own. Sometimes I add slippers or a dvd - perfect time of year for the new fluffy winter woollies and cuts down on the amount of chocolate. I do love your gumboot idea - may have to adopt that one for the twins.

    Love your little baskets x
