Just Add Ink #168

I love Just Add Ink time, as that means it's Friday and the weekend is upon us and this weekend is a long one here in Melbourne, for the Queens Birthday celebrations. I have a very easy one planned, with some odd jobs to tackle, some play time in my studio and a sleepover with 2 of my little muffins and to top it all off, l may just add in some all day PJ time....can't wait!
Now l guess l should share my project for this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge. Mae has created a lovely sketch for us to work with this week and l really enjoyed the simplicity of it and playing with Vellum is something l've been meaning to try for awhile!

You know when you have an idea in your head and it looks great, then you actually make it and it's not so much! Well this was one of those rare times that it actually met expectations and l was so happy that it came together so nicely.
The DT have come up with some gorgeous projects, l think we all had fun with this sketch. Don't forget to go check them out!

  2. This is REALLY beautiful, Nikki. I love the softness of the (beautifully coloured) vellum flowers against the solid punched foliage. The die cut panel adds lovely detail. Just gorgeous, my friend!

  9. These flowers in vellum are gorgeous! I hadn't thought to do them in vellum, but I've got to give it a try now. And I love the way you've done the lattice behind them. A beautiful card, Nikki!
