Just Add Ink #546..."Steampunk"

This week over at Just Add Ink Chantell has given us a fun and very different challenge. She would like us to create using the theme of "Steampunk"....This is not a style l'm usually drawn to, but it was fun to pull out some old bits and create my take on steampunk.

If you scroll to the bottom, l have included some pics of what l have used, old & new from Stampin Up! and l have included an image (car) from a really old Tim Holtz set called "The Journey".

I have kept to a neutral colour palette of Basic black, Basic White, Crumbcake & Kraft, with a gold embossed sentiment from "Whiskey Business".

The rest of the design team have had fun with this theme, so don't forget to click on the link and have a look at those.

Stamp Review Crew...Tasteful Touches!

Good Morning!

The Stamp Review Crew are hopping and for this one we are sharing the lovely "Tasteful Touches" stamp set. This set is so lovely to work with and some very versatile images that can be used for many card styles.

I have used my blending brushes to create a soft Pear Pizzazz background and stamped some of the leaf and geometric images on top.
My flowers are coloured with Highland Heather-Purple Posy & mango melody Stampin Blends and the leaves are from the "To a Wild Rose" set coloured with Old Olive blends.
To create the shadow, l ran my light Smoky Slate blend around the flower and leaf images to add some depth and then added some speckles in Memento ink, finishing off with a sentiment & diecut from the Well Said bundle.

If you are happily hopping, you would have arrived here from the fabulously creative Mike Funke  and l'm sure he had something fabulous to share!
But if you've just landed here, you can follow the hop and see all of the wonderful crew projects by clicking the link above or "Next" banner below.
Stamp Review Crew are a wonderfully talented group of Stampin Up! demonstrators from across the globe that come together twice a month to share lots of fabulous ideas using Stampin Up! products.

Next up is my very talented and oh so creative friend from down under Bronwyn Eastley and l'm sure she will have a "Wow" project for you!

Just Add Ink #545...Colour!

Morning all!

This weeks challenge over at Just Add Ink was suggested by Lou and its a fun one! You can create anything you like, as long as its in "Shades of Green".

I've used a few shades, Soft Seafoam-Pear Pizzazz-Old Olive-Mossy Meadow and teamed them with the Stitched Rectangles, my retired Rainbow Dies and some foliage from the Forever Fern dies.

I went with a St Pats day theme and created a birthday card for an Irish friend...Very Simple, but l like it!

The rest of the design team have some fabulously "GREEN" inspiration to share, so make sure you click on the link above for a peek at those.

Colour INKspiration...#95

It is time for a new colour combination over at Colour INKspiration and for this one Jacque has given us hues of purple, blue and gold.
I decided to stretch my self and create with the very cute "Snailed It" bundle...Definitely not your normal mushroom and snail combo, but kinda cute still!

I used a combination of Stampin Blends and Markers to colour the images and my blending brushes with Balmy Blue inkpad in the background. Layered them all up on a Stitched so Sweetly diecut in Blackberry Bliss and popped it on a trimmed down cardbase embossed with the "Brick & Mortar" 3D folder, addede some Gilded Gems and twine from the Forever Greenery Trim combo.

INKspired to join in the challenge? Firstly check out the fabulous inspiration from the design team over in our facebook album and then create and load your project using the challenge colours.
You can also include Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb cake, Sahara Sand and Metallics.
If you are not already a member of our Facebook group, you can click on the link above to be redirected where you can request to join, get creating and add your project.

Just Add Ink #544..."Add L"

Happy Friday friends!

This week over at Just Add Ink Tina has challenged us to add any "L" element we like to our projects...Simple and fun!

My little brother celebrated his 50th Birthday last week and although he didn't get the party celebration that was planned due to another Melbourne lockdown, the 5 allowed visitors spread out over the day, so at least he got to enjoy his special day a little.

The images from "A Good man" stamp set work really well for a lot of the males in our family and as he enjoys his camping, this image was just perfect. My "L" element was lines, using the True Love DSP on the card base and blending brushes in Just Jade on the panel behind the image.

I used my Stampin Blends in Just Jade-Seaside Spray & Smoky Slate to colour, added some Matte Black Dots and a greeting from the "Happiest Birthdays" set and it was done.

The rest of the design team have some fabulous and fun "L" ideas to share, so make sure you pop over to the blog for a peek at those.

Just Add Ink #543...Sketch!

Its Friday and that means another fun Just Add Ink challenge. This week Kelly has challenged us to use this great sketch in our projects.

Initially l was going with dsp pieces, but decided on using my Simply Scored board to create the sketch details....simple and effective!

Over the top l combined some of the "Pretty Perennials" images and a sentiment from the "Quite Curvy" set, and used my blending brushes to add some background colour in Mango Melody and added some Mango melody dsp for some bold detail and finished it off with a twine bow and pearls.

The Pretty Perennial images are done in Mango Melody-Granny Apple Green-Pumpkin Pie adding some white embossed detail to the centers.

Lots of gorgeous sketch inspiration from the team, so dont forget to pop over to the challenge blog for a peek at those!
