Just Add Ink #336...Colour!

Hello!....Well l'm back from a whirlwind few days in Brisbane for Stampin Up's On-Stage live event and to say l'm just a little excited, overwhelmed and sooo tired is an understatement..:0)
It was a fabulous and fun way to spend a few days with some lovely friends. But reality has kicked in and the struggle is real...time to get creating!

Our challenge over at Just Add Ink  this week is all about these pretty colours!  During "Onstage" l received the brand new "Swan Lake" stamp set in prize patrol. And although this is definitely not a set l would normally choose, l thought l would step outside my comfort zone and see if l could come up with something l liked...:0)

I stamped, water coloured and sponged all images on some SU Shimmer c/stock and used the fab "New" stitched framelits to create the oval.
The sentiment is from another "New" stamp set that we were lucky enough to receive in our check in bags, called "Suite Sentiments"...Loving the versatile sentiments in this set.

Both of these sets will be available in the Occasions catalogue on the 4th of January 2017 and will coincide with the release of the fab new Sab products as well.

Not that it photographed all that well, but there is a whole lot of Wink of Stella sparkle happening too!

I also have another card l made using these colours, to which l have added a "Neutral" Crumbcake, which we do allow in our colour challenges by the way..:0)

Don't forget to swing by the challenge blog for some more fab inspiration from the design team.

Stamp Review Crew..."Paisley's & Posies Edition"

 Stamp Review Crew

Yay! I'm excited to be joining this hop at Stamp Review Crew...It's been a whole month since l participated, so l was really looking forward to this one..:0)

For this hop we are showcasing the lovely "Paisleys & Petals" set. I really enjoyed creating three very different samples to share.

If you are following along the hop, you would have just arrived from fab blog of Bruno Bertucci But if you have just landed here and would like to start at the beginning you can click on the banner up top to be redirected or you can continue on your merry way by clicking the "Next" banner below!

For my first sample, l've gone with the current fad of line art colouring books...although clearly this is not a book..lol
This idea would be lots of fun made in multiples and gifted with some colouring pencils or markers.

For the second sample, l have used Wisteria wonder, baked Brown sugar/Kraft and gold embossing to create a more classic paisley look.

And last but not least, my third sample uses the yummy Copper embossing powder, Mint Macaron and Dapper Denim.

Now you are off to inspired by the lovely and talented Tanya Boser

 Bruno         Tanya Boser

I have been asked for details on my second card, so thought l would add them here for anyone else that's interested...

Whisper White panel: 3.5/8" x 4.7/8"
Kraft panel: 3.6/8" x 5"

Place both panels together, keeping the lefthand side and the bottoms level. (The Kraft one should be peeking out at the top & right sides)
Place on your cutter with the bottom left point on the cutting line and push the rest of the panels (keeping them together) past that point, to remove required amount. This is totally your choice.
Now line up the left side and top together and this will give you even amounts of Kraft peeking out on the bottom and right sides.

Star of Light!

Hey there...Thought l would pop in and share just for fun!

As l'm making a concerted effort to get a good stock of Christmas cards created before the crazy hits, l've added "Ombre"  water colouring with some yummy Emerald Envy" ink on a piece of watercolour paper and teamed it with some of the pretty star diecuts from the "Star of Light" set.
Not sure if you can see it, but l also added an Ombre effect to those to tie it altogether!

I'll keep it short and sweet! At present l am enjoying a few days away in Brisbane with some of my fave people...The Just Add Ink girls of course..:0)
We are attending the first south Pacific Stampin Up "On Stage Live" event...So excited! Not only do we get to see, feel and enjoy all things new in the SU world, we get to hang out together and just enjoy the laughter, hugs and non cyber quality time!

Just Add Ink #335...Sketch!

Can you believe how quick Christmas is approaching...Eeek! Time to get some Christmas projects sorted and this weeks Just Add Ink sketch challenge from Tina was the perfect time to crack open the lovely "Merriest Wishes" bundle and start creating.

This weeks challenge will run for 2 weeks due to most of the design team attending "On Stage" in Brisbane.

Clean and simple is what l'm all about for Christmas this year and l just adore these colours together.

The design team have used the sketch in so many wonderful and inspiring ways, be sure to pop over and have a peek!

Whilst l created the card sticking close to the sketch, l wanted to step it up a notch using the "Pretty Pines" thinlits and now l cant decided which l prefer..:0)
It actually looks like 2 different cards due to the lighting when photographing, but i really did just add bits to the first one..:0)

Christmas Elves & Copics!

Hey there!...Thought l would pop in and share a cute copic card l made recently. It's been forever since l pulled out my copics and had a play and l must say l'm just a tad rusty, but l got there in the end..:0)
The lovely and "Oh so talented" Jodene Tripp kindly sent me some of these cuties from MFT to colour way back in 2015...Yep, l'm a bit slow, lol.

I really enjoyed having a play and although my copic collection is limited (need to work on that) l managed to mix a few to get the colours l wanted.

With Melbourne's weather being so utterly miserable today, l might just pull out the copics, make a cuppa, get comfy and play some more..:0)

Some of the images got a very liberal coating of clear Wink of Stella, this stuff is so pretty and addictive!
The sentiments are from the "Tin of Tags" stamp set and the background was created using the "Seasonal Decorative Masks" Both from the current Stampin Up holiday catalogue.

Just Add Ink #334...Inspiration!

Happy Friday to you!....We have a brand new challenge happening over at Just Add Ink and this week  Di has provided some great inspiration for us to work with.

Originally l had planned my focus on the big '&" but after some procrastination l went with the numbers on the t-shirt and the banner...Pretty self explanatory really..:0)
The colours l used are Real Red & Tempting Turquoise teamed with the numbers from the "Number of Years" bundle.

The rest of the design team have created some fun and fabulous projects, so don't forget to stop by the challenge blog and check them out.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Just Add Ink #333...Add "G"

JAI #333......G

This week over at Just Add Ink   Tina has challenged us to "Just Add G" to our projects. I'm really enjoying these letter challenges, as they have so many options and are lots of fun to create with.

My "G" elements are gold glimmer paper, gold embossing and a pretty star galaxy! These are all elements from the "Star of Light" stamp set in the current Stampin Up holiday catalogue.
The base star is Mint Maccaron..my current fave and go to colour for all things..:0)

It was really hard to capture just how pretty and sparkly this is and the mint looks way more green than it actually is...:0(

Don't forget to stop by the challenge blog and checkout the awesome "G" ideas from the rest of the design team!

Just Add Ink #332...Colour!

It's time to share this weeks Just Add Ink challenge!  Patrice has given us a lovely bold palette to play with and l put to use with the "Botanical Blooms" bundle!
I decided less was more with these colours and used a crisp white base so the colours would really pop!

The rest of the design team have combined them to create some fabulous projects, so don't forget to stop by and check those out.
