A Ninja Birthday.....

"HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY" Ninja boy!

Today we are celebrating my grandson Archer's 5th Birthday...This years craze is "NINJA TURTLES" in any shape or form. Both he and Brady are turtle mad and with Brady's birthday in a couple of weeks, l thought some turtle cards were the go....So with Raphael & Michelangelo being their faves, this is what l came up with....Cute, but kinda creepy too!

I used the Circle & Oval Framelits from SU to create the card bases, overlapping them beneath the bandannas & drew the mouths by hand.

More from Stenciled!

Hey there!...I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and if you reside in Victoria, l hope you are all keeping cool and safe from the many bushfire's burning at the minute. We have spent the day with our eldest daughter, hubby and grand kids, as they live extremely close to fires that were burning out of control for most of today and decided that leaving early and waiting it out with us was the safest option.
Thanks to the CFA website & Face book page, they were able to keep updated throughout the day with constant updates on the fire status....Thinking of everyone facing the same challenges today and hoping you are all safe.

So, l have another Valentine card to share, although this could be used for many occasions, as l haven't used a Valentines greeting. Using some metallic mesh (negative sequin) that comes in roll form at many craft and cheap shops and a sponge with real red ink.

To create some interest on the inside, l used a heart framelit as an embossing tool, such a cool effect and now I'm looking at my dies and framelits with a whole new interest...:0)

Bubble Wrap Background.....

Today's card share is another fun technique, using plain old "Bubble Wrap" to create a fun background effect!
I came across a fab card by Claire Daly and it reminded me l hadn't used this idea in ages and thought l would have another play....Here's what l came up with!

Stenciled for Valentines....

Morning!....As you can see, I'm still on the stenciled kick and used this concept to create another Valentines card. This time l used a piece of Window Sheet cut slightly larger than my card front and using various sized hearts from my framelits and punches created my own stencil....Simple & Fun!

Hardwood Hearts....

Happy Friday all......So, with the countdown on for "Valentines Day" l thought l would share a card with a bit of  a masculine style that l made for my class girls last week.....Sort of rustic looking!
I must say that "Valentines day" is not a huge thing in our house, l always tell DH that flowers should be a random surprise throughout the year and not just on the Hallmark holiday..Hmmm, I'm still waiting...lol!

Just Add Ink #201...Colour Challenge!

Hey stampers, we have a lovely colour challenge for you this week over at Just Add Ink designed by Kim. I love that these can be used in softer tones as l have or bold and bright as some of the DT have done, pop on over and have a peek and join us if you can!

I was excited to crack open my Watercolour Wonder stamp set and ink it up for the first time...It's very cool, especially the splotch of watercolour image, the effect is very clever!...Here's what l created for this week...

I used my markers to colour the poppy on Shimmery White Cardstock, you can see the effect in the first pic. The Poppy on the card was coloured with an Aqua painter and shaded and the one on the envelope was blocked in direct from my Real Red Marker. Using this cardstock created a very shimmery flower which is nice for something different.

You're So Lovely...Stencil Embossing!

So...you know when you think something looks super easy and you run off to give it a go? Well that was me after seeing another fun technique video from Julie Ebersole over at "Online Classes".....My next pic will show you just what not to do...Insert red face here..:0)

It is actually a very easy and fun technique, although l need to practice, maybe with a thicker stencil (less movement) but it certainly helps to concentrate when feeding them through your Bigshot...Good thing it wasn't super expensive..:0)

How cute is that image from the Salebration set "You're So Lovely",  it coordinates with the Deco label Framelits..yay! Looking forward to colouring it with markers next.

Gorgeous Grunge...Stenciled!

Morning Stampers!....I hope you are all enjoying the weekend so far. Today's post is another of the techniques from the "Online Classes" Stenciled class, by Kristina Werner.
I used my splotch stamp from Gorgeous Grunge to create my own stencil, stamped it on window sheet using Black Stazon and cut it out with a craft knife and then altered it slightly using various hole punches until l was happy with the shape.
This was so much fun and l love the softer look using the stencil creates vs direct stamping.

I will be back soon with more projects from "Stenciled"
