Just Add Ink #556...Slimline Cards!

 

Happy Friday friends!    

It’s Just Add Ink  challenge time and this week the lovely Lou has challenged us to create a slimline card. This was such a fun challenge, as this is a card shape l very rarely create, l thoroughly enjoyed combining it with another new set called “Shaded Summer” and a sentiment from “Biggest Wish”.

To colour my stamped florals and foliage, l used my Stampin Write Markers direct to rubber in all 5 of the new In Colours, a technique l love, but often forget to use. It gives such a lovely soft result.

Colour INKspiration...#100

Welcome to a very special 100th Colour INKspiration challenge! To celebrate our milestone, the lovely Bron has provided this fabulous colour palette to create with.

Here are some “FUN FACTS” about our challenge....

Colour INKspiration was founded by Bronwyn Eastley in 2017. She put together a crew of 25. We still have 8 original members on the Colour INKspiration Crew. First challenge CI#01 was on January 11, 2017.

The CI crew are such a lovely bunch of caring, sharing and so darn talented ladies! l absolutely love sharing the CI journey with them all!

I love these bold and bright colours together, but as there are no greens, my normal go to of florals was out...creature of habit here!

It did take me a little while to decide, but finally l went with this simple fold, some block colours and a pretty "Party Roo" coloured with Stampin Blends and some sparkly gel pen details...it's sweet and simple and it will be perfect for sending some birthday love!

Just Add Ink #555...Colour!

 

Good morning! 

It's time for another fun challenge over at Just Add Ink and this week Rachael has provided this lovely colour palette for us to create with.

Just Jade & Pool Party are such a great combination and when you throw in a hint of Magenta, it is so very soft and pretty!

For this one, l have cracked open the lovely "New" 3D Bark embossing folder and combined it with another new fave, the "Meadow Dies"...love, love, love these dies!

They make it so quick and easy to make pretty cards and l am very much looking forward to using them with other ways.
I diecut all of the elements in Basic White and used my Stampin Blends to colour, although l did find my Dark Magenta Madness blend was completely dry...A bit disappointing considering its hardly been used, but a quick dip in some Isopropyl (alcohol) and it reinvigorated enough that l could add some details...A liberal coat of Wink of Stella to the butterfly and flowers, some sheer Pool Party ribbon and done!

Stamp Review Crew...Hand Penned Petals!

 

Happy Monday everyone!

The Stamp Review Crew are hopping and for this one we are sharing the NEW "Hand Penned Petals" products!

This set was #1 on my wish list and it didn't disappoint, it is so easy to create simple or detailed projects with and l love the versatility of being able to use inkpads or colouring mediums with the lovely lineart images! Having that option is always a winner with me when choosing new products.

I have included a pic at the bottom which shows the whole suite available...the designer series paper is absolutely stunning!

Just Add Ink #554...Add "G"

 

 Good morning!

Over at Just Add Ink Tina has challenged us to create a project using anything starting with a “G” this is such a fun challenge with endless possibilities really!

I decided it would be fun to create a couple of cards with G elements, the first is a Gatefold with a twist in Gorgeous Grape and a hint of Gold and Green and the second is the same gatefold with different decorative elements.

I really enjoyed this project, as l finally got to crack open my pretty Hydrangea Hill designer paper and the colours are just gorgeous! The second is the True Love dsp, which is coloured with some of the new Stampin Up! In colours in Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia and some retired Pink Pirouette.

I didn’t buy the coordinating stamps for the Hydrangea paper, but remembered l had a very, very old Hydrangea stamp, so that is what l used on the scalloped circle panel.

Still pairing my phone to iPad for editing, so not the best quality sadly, but crossing everything for a real live NBN technician to actually turn up on Monday...sigh!
