Just Add Ink #391...Choose Two!

"MERRY CHRISTMAS" everyone!

Welcome to my last post and final Just Add Ink challenge for 2017. This weeks challenge will run for two weeks, finishing on January 2nd. The design team will then be taking some time out and we will return on January  the 19th with our first fun challenge for 2018!
Kim has set this weeks challenge and she has given us a multiple choice one to create with. You can use any combination, as long as you create a project using two of the elements suggested.

Before moving onto my project details, l would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas, may it be filled with love, laughter, family and friends.
And a big thank you to all who have stopped by my blog and left such lovely comments. It is always appreciated and is often the spark that keeps me creating...So "Thank you".

I was cleaning out a draw in my craftroom recently and came across a few sheets of this dsp and decided it was high time l used up some of the abundance of random products in my stash.
This is a Kaisercraft dsp from many, many moons ago, but it actually matches perfectly to some of the SU colours.
I've chosen a tree and twine as my elements and teamed them with Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green, some retired Old Olive ribbon and Santas sleigh framelits to create some cute box in a bag packaging.

The rest of the design team have created some really fun and creative projects, so don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and check them out!

Just Add Ink #390...Sketch!

We have a new Just Add Ink challenge happening today  and this week Narelle has given us this fun sketch to play with.
I have used all of the elements, but on a larger scale and combined them with my new fave stamp set "Good Tidings". This set is so traditionally elegant, yet its perfect for creating a clean and modern look to your Christmas projects.
The colours I've used are basic black, whisper white and silver glimmer as my base. The leaves were stamped in old olive and then basic black over top. I was surprised at how green the black looks over the olive...It's a great effect. The berries are real red and cherry cobbler.

The rest of the design team have created some gorgeous projects using the sketch, so don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and have a peek.

Colour INKspiration #24

Can you believe Christmas is officially next week?....Anyone else feeling just a little grinchy at the minute? My Christmas spirit has well and truly gone awol and l normally love the lead up to Christmas, but l'm just not feeling the love...:0(
The last couple of months have been a rollercoaster of emotions,  with the loss of a  young family member to the evils of cancer and celebrating my babys 30th and all of the highs and lows they entail. But l'm hopeful once l get my shopping done and get some time to breath, l will find my missing Christmas happy!

Hopefully seeing all of the fab creations from the crew will get me back on track, as these colours are just gorgeous together.
I've gone with Christmas pines and layered up the elements to create a soft and simple Christmas card.
This is the final Colour INKspiration blog hop for 2017. The crew will be taking a short break and will return with a brand new colour challenge on January 10th....Merry Christmas everyone, keep safe and keep on crafting!

To keep hopping click on the "Next" banner and you can complete the loop and see all of the teams inspiring projects.

Just Add Ink #387...Colour!

Happy Friday!...Can you believe how crazy fast the weeks are going and Christmas is approaching? It's new challenge time over at Just Add Ink and this week we have a somewhat traditional colour palette to create with.
As much as l love the more traditional colours, l very rarely use them to create or decorate with, but l think l've managed to give them a bit of a modern Christmas look using the  "Good Tidings" set and created a double stair step card.

I've also created a second one using Lemon Lime Twist/Old Olive/silver and Black, which l really like and the LLT is nowhere near as bright IRL.

Don't forget to check out the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the design team.
