Just Add Ink #440...Blog Hop!

 Just Add Ink

Happy 2019 everyone, I hope it's a fabulous year of good health, loads of happy and much crafty goodness!

Well, it's time to kick off the Just Add Ink year! As we always do, we have team "Blog Hop" and our theme is "Something New".
This can be absolutely anything that you have acquired, but have not yet used!

With the release of the brand new Stampin Up! Occasions & Sale a Bration catalogues, l have a lovely little stash of new goodies, so deciding what to use was fun!

I have gone with the super cute, stand alone stamp set called "Flowering Desert" and combined it with some softer colours (Blushing Bride-Flirty flamingo-Mint Macaron-Old Olive & silver) to create a card with lots of prickly pretties!
I added some spiky detail to the feature cactus with a black fine liner.

If you are happily hopping along, you would have landed here from the lovely Rachael Lewsley and her fabulous project using another new SU product!
But if not, you can click on the "Next" banner below to keep on hopping and see all of the amazing projects from the JAI team. Or you can click on the link or banner above to be redirected to the JAI challenge blog where you will find all of the teams blog links!

We are an international group of like minded papercrafters that love creating with Stampin Up! products and participate in a blog hop on the first & third Monday each month, focusing on one set each hop.
This allows us to share a huge variety of styles and projects with just one stamp set and provides loads of inspiration.

I really love combining this set with "Tropical Chic" but for this one I've used only the images and sentiment from the Flamingo set, but l did add some of the Tropical Escape 6x6 dsp stack.
My go to colours are Flirty Flamingo-Granny Apple Green-Basic Black-Whisper White & and a hint of Gold Shimmer.

Colour INKspiration #48

 Colour INKspiration

Merry Christmas to you!

This is the final Colour INKspiration challenge for 2018 and following a break by the crew, we will be back with more colour fun in Feb 2019. Keep safe and wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and good health and happiness in the year ahead!

My project for this hop is a cute packaging idea inspired by my fave coffee destination Sacred Ground, in Bali (my fave holiday destination).
On a recent girls trip, we had coffee delivered to our villa and if you scroll down, you can see their delivery packaging. I was looking at it thinking how l could incorporate it into my paper crafting and was challenged by my travel companions to give it a go.

This was what l came up with! A mini version using some sweet tins to hold some soy candle melts and decorated with a lovely new stamp set coming up in the Stampin Up! Occasions brochure and one l was lucky enough to receive at the Melbourne On Stage event in Nov, called "Incredible like You". There is also a couple of other sneak peeks on there as well.
The first is using the gorgeous Colour INK challenge colours and the others were gifts for those that challenged.

How gorgeous was the lovely Denita Wright Smees project...Love her work! If you click on the "Next" button below, you can keep on hopping to see all of the beautiful work from the crew!

Next up is Nicole Wilson and her super cute project using another SU Occasions product!

Just Add Ink #439...Gift box!

"Merry Christmas everyone"

Can you believe its only 4 sleeps until my Birthday...:0) Or more commonly known as Christmas Day! Bring on the Christmas crazy and festivities!

Thank you to all that dropped by here and left your lovely comments this year. I read and appreciate them all and wish you a wonderful Christmas and a safe, happy and amazing 2019.

Now onto our final Just Add Ink challenge for 2018. This challenge will run for 2 weeks (non voting) and then the team will take a break and we will be back with a fun "Blog Hop" to kick start the year on 18th January.
for our final challenge, Patrice wants us to create a gift box...Perfect timing for Christmas! But it can be for any occasion you like!

I have created a couple of gift box ensembles using this great tutorial from from Linda Parker over at papercraftwithcrafty.co.uk for the squat size, fun and simple to create and super sturdy!
And for the taller one l used this great tutorial from Sam over at mixedupcrafts.com   although l did alter the height to use a full sheet of A4.
It was great to use up loads of bits from this years Stampin Up! Holiday Dsp selection.

Well, pardon the pun, but that's a wrap from me for JAI for 2018! May your Christmas be crazy and the big man generous!

Make sure you pop over to he challenge blog and check out the rest of the design teams beautiful gift boxes.

Just Add Ink #437..."I"

Happy Friday friends!

Tina has challenged us all to add an "I" element to our projects this week...There are loads of options for this one, check out the design teams projects for some fun and creative ways to add "I".
I decided to have a break from Christmas projects and went with a sweet birthday box using "Icing" on my cupcake as my "I" element.
I have combined the "Sweet Cupcake" bundle (retired) with some of the abundance of dsp from my stash (non SU).

To create the box, l followed this.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erkN77rVySQ
great tutorial from mixedupcraft.com It was so easy to follow and fun to make, l will definitely be making more.
Thanks for an easy and fun tutorial Sam!
