Just Add Ink #252....Sketch!

Hey there!...It's time for another challenge over at Just Add Ink and this week Kim created a very "on trend" sketch for us to play with...Love it!
I'm a sucker for straight lines and angles, so this sketch was perfect for me and loads of fun to work with.
Once again, l grabbed for the new goodies and based my colour theme around those in the gorgeous "Best Year Ever" dsp, available in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.

Today l am winging my way across the ditch to Auckland NZ, to teach at the "Ohope Beach Creative Escape Retreat" organised by Delys Cram.....To say I'm excited is an understatement, I'm so looking forward to catching up with the NZ girls from JAI and Conventions past and meeting some lovely ladies as well.

Here's the link to a fab YouTube video from Patty Bennett if you want to try the flower...Tutorial

Do yourself a favour and pop over to the challenge blog and check out the fabulous DT samples.

Just Add Ink #251....Add Thank You!

Hello and Happy Friday to you! Over at Just Add Ink this week, Patrice has given us a "Just Add Thank You" challenge.
It can be any style or elements you choose as long as you add "Thank You"...This was perfect timing for me, as l needed a special Thank you card for a friend, that always goes above and beyond in times of need...Mwah to you!
Plus it gave me another chance to play with my "Hello You" thinlits and the "Crazy for You" stamp set.
I'll keep this post short, as l'm on nanny daycare for a few days and need to sleep when they do..:0)

Don't forget to pop over and check out how the rest of the DT have added Thank You!

Just Add Ink #250...Inspiration!

JAI #250

Happy almost valentines day everyone!...Trish has provided us with some lovely (no pun intended) inspiration to create with this week, over at Just Add Ink.
I went with the heart theme, but chose to use some dsp from the very cute "Stacked with Love" paper stack, which has a combination of black, white & Calypso Coral on the pages l chose.
I'm loving this cute little "Mini Treat Bag" die and couldn't resist using it with some yummy coordinating products to create my project, which l think will be perfect for holding some movie tickets and some chocs for the man..:0)

The design team have taken so many varying elements from the inspiration and have created some fab projects. Don't forget to stop by the challenge blog and have a peek..:0)

Love is in the air...

With Valentines day just a couple of sleeps away, l thought it was time to get into the spirit.... As a rule I'm not a huge fan of celebrating Valentines day, I'm more of an all year round kinda girl..:0) But l couldn't resist having a play with the love themed goodies in the new occasions catalogue....So many cute coordinating products.
And as I'm giving this one to the man, l thought l'd stick to crisp & clean and more masculine in style.

Just Add Ink #249...Sketch!

Tina has provided us with a great sketch to play with this week over at Just Add Ink. As l often do, l took it literally and used the Hexagon punch.
I started buy punching one out of scrap and used it to trace a rough guide of 7 hex shapes joined together, as in the sketch. Once l had a rough area of the size, l inked up the lovely "Painted Petals"  using Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz & Soft Sky and stamped within the lines and punched the Hexagons from that.
I must say, l was really happy with how this looks, l love the soft colours and hint of gold.

Butterfly Basics...

Soooo,.... I've been totally slack with my blogging of late, no excuses, time has just gotten away!....Can you believe its already Feb? I'm so sure Christmas was just last week..:0)

But, l really have been creating, but mostly for upcoming events and DT samples, which of course I'm unable to share just yet. But this one is done, so here it is..:0)
With the release of the gorgeous "Painted Blooms" dsp in the new occasions catty, l renewed my love of Pacific Point....I don't think I've pulled it out in at least six months...I know, slack, right? It really is lovely!
For this card l teamed it with Crushed Curry-Daffodil Delight & Old Olive, throw in the lovely Butterfly Basics Bundle and it was done. I really love the fresh combination of colours.

Just Add Ink #248....Colour!

Hey there!...Before l start on this weeks challenge, l thought l would share some family stuff with you ..:0)

It's been a very exciting few days here. With the school year resuming, it meant our beautiful eldest grandson Archer started school. I just can't believe it's been nearly six years since this handsome dude blessed us with his presence and now he's getting all grown up and independent...Time really does fly by! It only seems like yesterday, l was sending his mum off on her first day...Surely a sign of old age..:0)
Apparently, he was up at 6.30 this morning, uniform on and holding his lunchbox, lol...Excited much!

And to add to the first day chaos, Brady, grandson #2 (little bro) started his first day at 4yr old kinder...such a funny little man, so full of life and a heart and smile that makes you melt..:0)

So, now it's onto all things crafty..:0) Over at Just Add Ink this week, we have a lovely colour challenge happening, suggested by Kim.

Not that you would think, but my lovely big balloon is "Pool Party"...I kept my colours to minimum use and left my card very CAS.
I created the balloon shading by inking it up with Pool Party and stamping my first impression, then re inking the image and using some towel, l patted away the majority of the ink and re stamped, therefore creating the shaded area....Oh the beauty of Photopolymer stamps...I love them!

Don't forget to pop over to the blog and see all of the great projects from the design team.
