Just Add Ink #317....Colour!

It's Friday..Yay! That means another week has come and gone and we are that much closer to spring...:0) It also means it's time for another challenge over at Just Add Ink
Kim has given us a gorgeous colour combo for this week and looking at the design teams projects, it's safe to say it was popular and so pretty.
Don't forget to pop by the challenge blog and check them out..:0)

I decided to mix my florals this week and using two new sets from SU, Bunch of Blossoms & Penned & Painted, this was what l came up with.
I stamped a variety of images from both using Archival Black ink on watercolour paper and watercoloured them using the challenge colours and my aqua pen.
Once dry, l flicked a generous amount of Wink of Stella Gold (not that you can see it), added some random black dots to create stamens on the two center flowers, stamped my greeting and finished off with some gold twine, glimmer and some dazzling gold details to add that extra little wow.

Stamp Review Crew....."Flower Shop" Edition!

 Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to another fun blog hop at Stamp Review Crew For this hop we are showcasing the "Flower Shop" set.
If you are following the hop you would have just arrived from the fab creation from Dawn Tidd If not and you would like follow from the start, just click on the banner up top and it will direct you to the SRC blog page.

I have created a cute little gift set using two of the "Flower Shop" images both embossed in the yummy new "Copper" embossing powder from Stampin Up!
I couldn't resist having a play with another new toy "The Popcorn Box" It's sooo...Cute! My colour palette is Kraft-Mint Macaron-White and of course Copper.

I have to apologise for the poor photo quality, it's so dull and dreary here in Melbourne this week, which of course makes it difficult to get natural light pics that aren't on the dull side, that and the fact that the Copper is really hard to capture just how pretty it is.
The lovely Copper twine is stunning! I am a self confessed "All things Copper" addict so both of these were top of my list of accessories.
Not sure you can see it, but the flower centers received a very liberal dose of  clear Wink of Stella and it has taken on a lovely copper tone.

Now you are off to be inspired by the lovely project from Betty Traciak

Just Add Ink #316....Stripes!

Hey lovelies, it's time for another challenge over at Just Add Ink   This week Patrice has challenged us to "Just Add Stripes" to our projects...Lots of fun and simple to achieve!
To create my stripey background l inked up the lovely Brushstrokes background stamp with some yummy new Dapper Denim.
The rest of my colour palette is Kraft, Cucumber Crisp and another new In colour Emerald Envy. I am loving these colours together...Gone are the days of "Blue & Green should never be seen".
To create my sentiment, l wanted something that would work well with the existing one on this cute little Toad from the You're Sublime set. So l used the very unloved Rotary Alphabet Stamp to create the banner and the "is" came from part of a sentiment in the World of Dreams set (retired).
I forgot how much fun it is to create mix and match sentiments this way..:0)

The rest of the design team have created some fabulous stripey creations, so don't forget to pop over and check them out.

Just Add Ink #315...Sketch!

Happy Friday friends!...Over at Just Add Ink this week, we have a lovely sketch from Tina.

I had loads of fun with this one and it was perfect timing for the arrival of my BBB (Big Brown Box) from Stampin Up.
I have taken a few liberties with the sketch by rotating it to vertical and instead of using panels as in the sketch, l cracked open the new "Jar Of Love & Bunch of Blossoms" bundles...Love!
Don't you love it when your order arrives and you're in love with all of your choices.
The colours l used are Sweet Sugarplum, Pear Pizzazz and Crumbcake.

The design team have created some gorgeous samples, so don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.

Stamp Review Crew...."Papillon Potpourri" Edition!

 Stamp Review Crew

Today we have a new edition of Stamp Review crew happening. This one is all about "Papillon Potpourri". This set has always been a fave, as its easy to implement butterflies into a project and the images have coordinating punches.
I had a little fun using some Mint Macaron and the cute new sponge brayer to apply the ink to some "Irresistibly Yours" (retired) dsp.
In the new 2016/17 annual catty, there is another gorgeous dsp called "Irresistibly Floral" that works the same but with some new pretty designs.

If you have just arrived here, you can hit the next banner below to continue on the hop or if you would like to start at the beginning you can hit the SRC banner above.
If you've been happily hopping, you would have just come from the lovely Linda Callahans blog and her no doubt inspirational Papillon project.

For my second project l kept to a similar colour pallete and incorporated lots of lovely leaves from "Kinda Eclectic" and added the "Papillon Popourri" butterflies as an embellishment.

Now you're off to be inspired by the talents of Shana Gaff

Just Add Ink #314...Inspiration!

Hey there!...Over at Just Add Ink this week, we have some lovely inspiration from  Di. Initially l was undecided on whether to go fruity or colours..:0) But as you can see l opted for some muted tones using a couple of the yummy new InColours from stampin Up!

I used Peekaboo Peach & Sweet Sugarplum swiped onto my kraft mat and spritzed with water. Once the colours had blended a little l laid a piece of window sheet on top and smooshed it around and then placed it onto some watercolour paper pressing down firmly to transfer the ink. I repeated this process until l was happy with the coverage.
Using the images from Watercolour Wings, l stamped using 3 generations of Sweet Sugarplum and added a vellum butterfly layer that was inspired by the fruit segments.

The design team have created a lovely array of inspiration, so don't forget to pop over and check them out.
