Just Add Ink #177...

This weeks challenge over at Just Add Ink is some lovely colours for you to play with. Two of these are some of the yummy "NEW" colours from Stampin-Up's colour refresh, Soft Sky & Smoky Slate.

I finally pulled out my cute convention sets called "Tag It" and "Sketched Birthday" and a few other new goodies and set to work. Here's my card for this week, along with a cute gift tag to match!

Flower Shop & Polka Dot's...

I've been having a little play with SU's "Flower Shop" stamp and punch set and needed to make a card for a special friend...I do hope she has it by now...:0) I teamed it with Strawberry Slush & Polka Dot's so l could play along with this weeks "Friday Mashup" challenge, but have held off on the linking as long as possible in the hope she get's it first.

Anyhoo!...here's the challenge and my card.

Not sure why the front looks so orange, but it is definitely Strawberry Slush. I used my Markers & Blender pen to colour the flowers and yay! for the coordinating Pansy punch..:0) It certainly makes life easier.

Zoo Babies for the boy's...

So, l'm back with one for the "Boy's". This one uses Coastal Cabana, Basic Grey & White...love these cool modern colours for baby boy's and how cute is that "Toucan" ?

I'm so happy with how easy this set is to use, thinking l might just have a play with some "Brights" and see what can come up with.

Zoo Babies.....

Afternoon stampers!....I wanted to pop in and share this sweet baby card with you, made with Stampin-Up's super cute "Zoo Babies". I've teamed it with some lovely "New" colours from SU,  called Crisp Cantaloupe, Smoky Slate & Pistachio Pudding.

I have had so much fun playing with this set and just love the look of these fresh colours together. I'll be popping back later to share the "Boy" version in Coastal Cabana, which is very yummy too!

Just Add Ink #176...

It's Just Add Ink time again and our challenge for this week is "Just Add Blokes"...very Aussie huh! Well, actually it means you can add any age male, using any sentiment, be it birthday, baby, fathers day etc...no rules to this one, as long as it's blokey..:0)

So, l'm not really sure how blokey some will think this is, but it did pass the male scrutiny test with the men in my family, so that's good enough for me...They were rather impressed with the hand cut feathers and didn't seem to think the sequins made it too girly.

Beautifully Baroque Wedding....

Afternoon!...Just popping in to share a Wedding card and gift tag l created recently, using the Heart Framelits and Beautifully Baroque stamp from Stampin-Up.

To create the heart window l used the "New Magnetic Platform" to make some multiple die cuts and it works a treat...yay! No more tape or fear of my framelits moving and l love that it saves time by cutting more than one shape at a time....Way to go SU...it's an awesome addition. 

I also added some of the yummy new Chevron ribbon and embossing powder in Smoky Slate...Perfect for a subtle colour addition.

I have a bit of a thing about clean & simple when it comes to Wedding cards and tend to go with the traditional white, with just a hint of colour and sparkle! I love how these turned out, kind of modern & traditional all at once...:0)

Beautifully Baroque....

This card is my Shelli inspired creation...:0) After seeing the gorgeous cards Shelli presented at Convention, l really wanted to have a play in that style and see what l could come up with....and this is the result!

I literally took a leaf out of Shelli's book a used an old book page as my DSP layer, just as She had done on one of her projects...:0) That and because l had no book print limited addition DSP left and my dictionary background stamp is yet to arrive!

I also got to use one of the many cute little paper clay flowers I've been making.

Evergreen, Friday Mashup & Festive Friday Challenges..

While scrolling the net today, l came across two challenges that l thought would work well together and as l still scrape in for a Christmas in July card, l thought l would play along....Here's what l came up with using the Festive Friday colours and the Friday Mashup challenge of Christmas and/or stripes.
