Just Add Ink #201...Colour Challenge!

Hey stampers, we have a lovely colour challenge for you this week over at Just Add Ink designed by Kim. I love that these can be used in softer tones as l have or bold and bright as some of the DT have done, pop on over and have a peek and join us if you can!

I was excited to crack open my Watercolour Wonder stamp set and ink it up for the first time...It's very cool, especially the splotch of watercolour image, the effect is very clever!...Here's what l created for this week...

I used my markers to colour the poppy on Shimmery White Cardstock, you can see the effect in the first pic. The Poppy on the card was coloured with an Aqua painter and shaded and the one on the envelope was blocked in direct from my Real Red Marker. Using this cardstock created a very shimmery flower which is nice for something different.

  1. I love this soft, feminine card with the bright red flower right in the middle. It certainly makes a statement Nikki. Great tip to use Shimmery White card, I hardly ever use it. Must pull it out more often. Thanks for the inspiration ♥

  2. That shimmery poppy takes centre stage Nikki - its gorgeous! Love how you kept the card background neutral the colours just pop off the page. xxx

  3. Stunning! I definitely want this set now - love how 'unstructured' the watercolour looks.

  4. Love how you have layered your various pieces and that shimmery poppy just takes centre stage. Love your use of the Shimmery White cardstock.

  5. That poppy looks ready to walk of your card - it's amazing how real you've made it look! Beautifully decorated inside and out!

  6. Gorgeous, gorgeous use of the challenge colours Nikki, and of your lovely new stamp set. It would never have occurred to me to colour direct with markers onto Shimmery White cardstock, but it looks stunning; thanks for the tip. :)
