Just Add Ink #136.........

Finally l have a little peace around here, to say this last week or two has been crazy town around here is an understatement. We have finally started our long awaited front porch/garden renovation and it is very exciting to see the dream become a reality. But to say l feel sorry for our poor neighbours is an understatement, our road has been like a taxi rank for tradies. Geez... power tools and burly blokes clomping around on the roof at 7am makes for a very tiring but effective alarm clock...:0)

 Anyway enough chat, onto this weeks Just Add Ink challenge. This weeks challenge is from Delys and we want you to "Just Add Kids".

My card this week is not really what l had envisioned in my head, but due to lack of concentration and leaving it until the last minute, it is what it is!


 



Since attending Stampin-Up Convention this year, l had been wanting to play with this set called Storybook Friends. The images remind me of "Old" style children's books and l just fell in love with them straight off.
I used Crumbcake and Soft Suede ink pads with my Aqua pen for colouring and added a little Crystal Effects just for something shiny.

The DT have really had fun with the challenge this week and have some great kids cards to share with you.

    Well Nikki you may not be convinced but I am! Love these little images and I think you used them beautifully in a slightly modern take on these sweet old school characters. Loving the hip hip hooray borders too! xxx

    Gorgeous images Nikki, and I agree they really do remind me of old style kiddie books. Beautiful colouring and I certainly love the card you've come up with this week.

    I love it, Nikki! The DSP you've used is fabulous, and I think the colours you've used give this card a vintagey feel. LOVE the stamping of the sentiment - very creative, my friend. xx
