Just Add Ink #125.......

Who's feeling chilly? whether your feeling the cold in your neck of the woods or toasty and enjoying the sunshine, our challenge for you at Just Add Ink this week is to "Just Add Winter"......Brrrrrrrrr

I really wanted to make a card that was just a winter theme, but most of my original ideas ended up very christmassy, due to a lack of appropriate stamps to play with.
But l finally managed to put this one together and the bonus was that l liked the way it turned out!

I used a technique called "Faux Mother of Pearl" and l love the effect it creates and it is so simple to do.
Using gloss cardstock and pearl shimmer paint applied with a sponge, l randomly pounced over the base leaving some areas un-covered, after drying l used another sponge to apply some Crumbcake ink in a circular motion until l was happy with the depth of colour.

Well, as you can see , my concession to "WINTER" was an umbrella card, with a little bit of elegance with all the shimmer and gold cardstock layer.
Don't forget to pop over and see the awesomeness from the rest of the DT and play along if you can.

"Thanks for popping by & have a lovely weekend"
All Products used are Stampin-Up.
