Just Add Ink #76....An inspiration pic!

Goodness it's already Friday, not sure where this week went, but l certainly didn't achieve what l  had planned!
Being Friday means challenge time at JAI and this week we have a beautiful inspiration photo provided by Delys Cram.......

Now how serene is that?  Those of us that live in the southern hemisphere are in the thick of winter and let me tell you, l for one would contemplate selling an offspring to be sitting on that balcony in the sunshine!
It seems the older l get, the colder l get! The idea of becoming a grey nomad becomes more appealing every winter!
As some of you know my favourite travel destination is Asia, in particular Bali, so with that in mind l created using the inspiration pic and a mental one, of one of my favourite spots..."Candi Dasa" on the south-east coast of Bali.

This is somewhat similar to the view from our veranda across the bay, it is such a peaceful place to holiday!
If your wondering about the glow on the horizon, it is to emulate a small fishing village on that side of the bay and a local night market, where many warungs spring up late every afternoon and locals gather for a meal, if your game as we are, the local food, mainly fish, is absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere is something you wont find in a restaurant....Paradise!
To create the horizon, l used post it notes to mask off between the water and the sky, l also used a post-it note to punch a circle for masking the moon.
Using all SU ink pads the sky was created using a sponge & Bashful Blue-Tempting Turquoise-Not quite Navy.
For the water Baja Breeze-Bermuda Bay & the shading was added with a little Pumpkin Pie.
DSP-Pumpkin Pie & Melon Mambo for the flowers, C/stock-Pumpkin Pie-Basic Black & Whisper White.
Silhouette images are from "Bird on a Branch" & "Fabulous Florets" all stamped with Basic Black ink.
To give the water a lift and sparkle, l added a little Tombo Glue in ripples, Crystal effects would have been better and easier to apply, but l had used it all on other projects.

If you would like a little more inspiration, check out the JAI Blog  and the fabulous interpretations the DT came up with this week!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!
