Just Add Ink #543...Sketch!

 

Its Friday and that means another fun Just Add Ink challenge. This week Kelly has challenged us to use this great sketch in our projects.

Initially l was going with dsp pieces, but decided on using my Simply Scored board to create the sketch details....simple and effective!

Over the top l combined some of the "Pretty Perennials" images and a sentiment from the "Quite Curvy" set, and used my blending brushes to add some background colour in Mango Melody and added some Mango melody dsp for some bold detail and finished it off with a twine bow and pearls.

The Pretty Perennial images are done in Mango Melody-Granny Apple Green-Pumpkin Pie adding some white embossed detail to the centers.

Colour INKspiration...#94

Over at Colour INKspiration Rachael has given us a gorgeous new colour combination to create with. As l still had some new toys out on my table, l decided create using one of the very cute "Love You Always" gift boxes and "A Touch of Ink" & fussy cut one of the pretty butterfly images from a "NEW" collection called "Butterfly Bouquet" available on the 2nd March...To this l added some depth of colour using my Mango Melody Stampin Blend.

These were poked in and popped up on a Crumbcake Detailed Bands diecut and stitched shapes layers in Seaside Spray & Very Vanilla, over some Misty Moonlight dsp from the In Colour DSP stack. Ribbon is the current Misty Moonlight which l also used to create the box pull and l've also added some of the 20-22 In Colour enamel gems along with a piece of Brights dsp in Mango Melody to the inside.

I have to say l am really enjoying combining old & new products, it also gives the old a new lease of life and makes me think outside the square a little rather than always reaching for my new toys.

Stamp Review Crew...Sale-a-Bration#2

A Touch of Ink

Happy Monday friends!

Its Stamp Review Crew hop time and once again we are showcasing "Sale-a-Bration" products.

I was slow to warm to the "A Touch of Ink" set, but l have to say it is fast becoming a fave from this years products and l had so much fun creating two same, same cards by using the set in two different ways.

For my first card l used Stampin Blends to colour the lineart images and for the second, my inkpads and the solid stamp images from the set...Lots of fussy cutting, but l think its worth it when you see the images in a more 3D look.

Just Add Ink #541...Blended Background!

 

Good Morning!

Its Just Add Ink challenge time and this week l thought it would be fun to challenge the girls to some background blending.

I have to say l do love a good inky technique and blending brushes and water speckles are always fun and give great results in any colours. 

My choice of colours this week are Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade & Pear pizzazz all combined with one of my fave bundles "All things Fabulous" and the heart is from the Be Mine Stitched Hearts dies.
