Just Add Ink #309...Inspiration!

It's challenge day again over at Just Add Ink and before stepping down from the design team Jodene gave us this pretty inspiration to play with.
I decided to step away from my usual choice of using the colours in the pic and chose to include some chevrons and texture as per the blanket and chair for a change.

The design team have created some gorgeous projects for you, so don't forget to stop by Just Add Ink and check those out.

Measurements:
The base is half of a standard A4 scored at 1-3/4" & 6-3/4".
Fold at the base scoreline and make a mark 1/2" in from each side on the base fold and trim from there to the 1-3/4" scoreline (pot flap) on the outer edge of both sides creating the pot shape.
The slider insert is Night of Navy-2-3/4" x 5-1/8"  White-2-1/2" x 4-7/8"

Just Add Ink #308....Just add "M"

Happy Friday friends!   We have a brand new challenge happening over at Just Add Ink and this week  Tina would like us to "JUST ADD M". With Mothers day not too far off in our part of the world it's perfect for creating your Mothers day cards or as l have done, add any "M" elements to your project.

For this weeks challenge l opted for these "M" elements "Markers-Mint Macaron-Melon Mambo-Mossy Meadow and Marina Mist" It was fun to pull out all the current "M" colours from Stampin Up and seeing what l could create...After applying my markers, l stamped off in varying amounts to create a much softer colour palette.

Don't forget to pop over and be inspired by the rest of the design teams creations..:0)

Stamp Review Crew...Balloon Celebrations Edition!

 Stamp Review Crew

Happy Monday everyone! We have another fun hop happening over at the Stamp Review Crew and this one is all about the "Balloon Celebration" bundle. I love how fun and easy to use this set is, so many cute elements and a punch as well.
I tried a new technique for this one, inking the solid image balloon in one colour and then stamping a second time in a deeper colour, but partially removing some of the ink by blotting with paper towel before stamping...In hindsight l probably could have gone even darker with the second shade, but l'm still happy with these and the 7yr old grandson seemed to think it was ok..:0)

You may have just arrived from the fabulous blog of Linda Callahan and her inspiring creations. But if you have just landed here and would like to start at the begining just click on the stamp review crew banner above and go from there.
If you are happily hopping you can continue by hitting the next banner below!

Next on the hop is the lovely and talented Kelly Kent

Just Add Ink #307....Colour!

JAI #307

It's time to share another fun Just Add Ink  challenge and this week we have some lovely cool colours to play with.
I've been wanting to try one of these fun slider cards for ages and decided this weeks colours would work really well.
I couldn't find any tutorials that worked with our cardstock measurements, so l just played until l had it worked out (have added these below)...Love the final product and you will no doubt be seeing one or two more...:0)
I'm a little addicted to this beautiful flower from the "Birthday Blooms" set and of course l'm a yellow rose nut, so the combination was always going to happen.
I stamped the main image in Basic Grey on watercolour paper and coloured the leaves in Smoky Slate, added a liberal dose of Wink of Stella and it was done.

MEASUREMENTS:
Base: 2 x 4-1/8" x 5-13/16" (1/4 of an (AU) piece of A4 cardstock.
Measure 3/4" in from all edges and lightly pencil around and cut both sides and the bottom.
Score the flap @ 3/4" & 1-3/4" to create the folds.
Pull Panel: 3" x 5" (White) 3-1/4" x 5-1-1/8" (Dijon)
Front Panels: 2-1/2" x 3-3/8" (Basic Grey) 2-1/4" x 3-1/8" (White)

Don't forget to pop by the challenge blog and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the design team.

Just Add Ink #306.....Sympathy!

Hello friends, its time to share with you our new Just Add Ink challenge. This week Jan would like us to add "SYMPATHY" to our projects.
I suppose like most of you, creating sympathy cards is not something l enjoy, as it usually means the loss of someone special. But in saying that it is also a celebration and acknowledgement of having had that special person in our lives..:0)

Not being one for anything overly fussy, l decided to go uber simple and create a crisp clean card using the Heartfelt Sympathy set with hints of Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi. and the Scallop Tag Topper punch.

The design team have created some lovely projects, so don't forget to pop over and check those out too!

Stamp Review Crew...White Christmas Edition!

 Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to another round of the Stamp Review Crew. This hop we are sharing our projects made with the "White Christmas" stamp set.
I went with a one layer card adding some Gorgeous Grunge in the background and featured the sweet reindeer image from this set as my focal point.
It was super quick to make and would be great for a stamp a stack Christmas card.

You may have just arrived from the fab blog of my lovely and talented friend Rochelle or landed here directly, if you'd like to follow the hop and check out the rest of the fabulous creations from the design team, you can click on the next banner below or hit the Stamp Review Crew banner up top and start at the begining.

Now you are off to check the fab project from Tanya

Just Add Ink #305...Sketch!

Welcome to this weeks Just Add Ink  challenge. Tina has given us a lovely sketch to create with. Clean lines and simplistic.
I enjoyed cracking open some new goodies for this one, the lovely Rose Garden thinlit and some of the gorgeous dsp from the SAB Perfectly Artistic pack.
As this card was heading to a special birthday girl and one l know likes a clean style, l kept it fairly unadorned just adding a few little hints of gold and dot clusters.
Don't forget to stop by the challenge blog to check out the rest of the design teams lovely use of the sketch.
