Christmas in the Heart....

Just popping in to share another Christmas card with you. I thought it was about time to have a play with my "Heart of Christmas" stamp and "Northern Flurry" Embossing Folder.
I seem to be sticking to the same colours of Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and a hint of Sparkle with the Stampin-Up Silver Glimmer Paper for most of my Christmas creations this year!

I even went as far as adding some snowflakes to the inside panel with the sentiment from "More Merry Messages", l thought it was a little boring as it was, not sure that it's that much better though...:0)

Just Add Ink #145......

This weeks challenge over at Just Add Ink is a lovely sketch provided by Mae.

I used the sketch to make my Nephews Wedding card, as it was perfect for the simple style l had in mind and l wanted to make a card that was similar to their Wedding invitations....Simple & Stylish!
I certainly managed the "Simple", but l will let you decide if it's Stylish....:0)

Here is a pick of the Invite, you can see l have followed the colour scheme and simple Monogram style on the front. But l couldn't resist adding a little sparkle with some Rhinestones and Silver Sparkle E/P.

Don't forget to stop over and check out the Design Team creations and play along if you can..:0)

Just Add Ink #144.....Tis The Season.

Hiya, l'm back with another Just Add Ink challenge for you and this one was provided by Trish.
She suggested we Just Add "MUSIC", how fun is that?

Well still being on a bit of a Christmas card kick, l decided to combine the two and see what l could come up with. Not having all that much in the way of "Music" inspiration in my stash, well not a lot l could think of anyway...:0) I decided to pull out some of my very first stamping purchases to see if there was anything l could use and l discovered this clear set, by Autumn Leaves called Rhonnas Christmas Swirls.

I combined some of the images and sentiment, along with the Stampin-Up music wheel and this was the result and might l say, l have been singing this tune ever since...l guess there could be worse tunes and at least this one is appropriate for this time of year....:0)

Don't forget to stop by and check out the Design Team creations, there is some great inspiration to get you started and hopefully you can play along too!

Just Add Ink #143........

It time again for another Just Add Ink Challenge and this week we have a great colour challenge provided by Kim.

Check out these lovely bold colours...........

I had no idea what l was going to create with these, so l pulled out the cardstock and left it sitting on my table for a bit, until l warmed to the idea of using the Tangerine Tango with the Doily Die and pretty much it just evolved from there...

I must say l really like how it turned out, kinda pretty and colourful, but not in your face bright! I am so glad l cut the doily in Tangerine, as usually l tend to stick to neutrals, but stepping outside my comfort zone was quiet enlightening...:0)
The Design Team have done some amazing things with these colours and hopefully they will inspire you to play along too!

CAS Christmas....

Just popping in to share a very quick CAS Christmas card with you.....I recently enrolled in the Holiday workshop round, over at "On-Line" classes and boy those girls have some great ideas.

This card is loosely based on one from the first day and this technique is so simple and fun, l couldn't resist having a go using the smallest Ornaments from Stampin-Ups "Ornament Keepsakes" set.

I kept my sentiment panel straight rather than angled and omitted the shading along the outer panel edges, preferring a cleaner look for this card.

"Thanks for stopping by & have a lovely day"
Supplies:
Ornament Keepsakes & Sassy Salutations Stamps
Pumpkin Pie-Midnight Muse-Cherry Cobbler & Lucky Limeade Inks
Paper Piercing Pack & Dazzling Details (Which absorbed the ink and went blue)
Fiskars Corner Rounder
All Products are Stampin-Up unless noted.

Just Add Ink #142.....

Our challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is a great "Sketch" provided by Mae.
I enjoyed using this sketch and pretty much kept it as is, not being one to think outside the box to much with sketch's,  l still try doing something a little different if the mojo is playing nice!

Once l had water coloured and fussy cut the image for the main panel, it still looked a little blah, so l clear embossed the black panel, using the poppies repetitively to add interest and a little texture.
The end result is rather bold & striking, don't you think?

The Design Team have once again pulled out all stops and really come up with some fantastic cards. Don't forget to swing by their blogs and leave them some love, it's always appreciated...:0)
